I'm not gonna be all "waa, I'm so shook up, I could have been flying to America this week!!!" 'cause y'know... I couldn't afford it this year anyway ^^; Even if there was a slight possibility a little while ago. And besides, it didn't happen. But it DOES worry me that the threat isn't considered over... there's still a red alert, and they're not sure if they've managed to completely halt all cogs in the plot.

The bombs were gonna be set on transatlantic flights (UK -> US).

Inevitable huuuuge delays and many cancellations follow. I suppose it's just as well that I didn't book to travel this August ^^;;

Hmm, a trip to heaven with...40 virgins waiting for them, I believe? This is if they are Muslim fundamentalists. They also get to die knowing they caused havoc to "The Great Satan" - AKA that chunk of land where I live.

Ya never know. There could be 40 Vegans - it's close enough to be lost in translation. That sure would be a shocker ^_^ Though, I imagine if there's a hell, and that's where they ended up (Seeing as most of their holy book doesn't say to go kill random people o.o) then they'd be feeling a little cheated by their higher ups on Earth :P

These things happen, and what pisses me off is the overreaction people have to it. Banning any and all liquids is stupid. It's like the time a kid got arrested for having a fucking nail clipper in his backpack at school. Oh no! He's gonna go on a killing spree like those kids at Columbine that had GUNS.

No, he's not. I hate how security acts afterward, because everyone is suddenly a suspect, and they treat you as such. I'm sure it'll be over by the time you get a flight setup.

I think one time there was this bomb scare or something down the street from my school so they CHECKED THE BACKBACKS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS of every student who walked in that day. I still find that incredibly ludicrous.

I'm just glad I didn't choose to travel ^^; Not due to fear, but due to the incredible annoyance of having to go 8 hours (plus probably like 3 hours of delays) without my mp3 player. I would die of boredom. See, the terrorists would have killed me anyway ;_; Death by inconvenience >/

With security the way it is now, I wouldn't be in any danger even if I did fly. But with 3+ hours of delays, plus not being allowed ANY hand luggage on the 8 hour flight... no thanks ;_;

Sky Harbor Airport is one of the busiest airports in the U.S. (Downtown Pheonix area).

I was watching the news and was stunned to learn to people could not take any liquids on board. Lipstick? Throw it out. Snacks? Throw it out. Baby Formula? Ok, keep it.

Just.... wow.
