Oh God [livejournal.com profile] aubergine_pilot, what have you done to me? D: I've been listening to that Sub Focus remix of Self Machine non-stop since I saw it in your post and I'm just totally in love! Mmm~

I've never really been into dubstep as a genre before, but these past few months I've found myself REALLY liking it, and Miles also seems to approve, and ohgod I just get such strong images of that post-apocalyptic urban grunge warehouse nightclub just pounding this kinda stuff out and the drop just plunges right through your soul and the pulse drowns you and... and... doooo want. I could lose my virginity to this kind of music, if I was a virgin.

So! Anyone have recommendations of more dubstep beats for me to download? I have a $15 iTunes card so I can get 'em from there, or from anywhere else really. I will love you!!

Also, if anyone knows/can remember the name/artist of the dubstep track that uses that obscure anime about the prisoners who have to work as detectives as the official music video, I'll be forever grateful because I really wanted to gank that track too~ ♥ EDIT: The anime is "Cyber City Oedo 808", but what was the track!!

EDIT 2: FOUND IT! Nero - Innocence. Phew.

(Forgive the hyper - it's almost 6am and I'm drinking Earl Grey with lemon and listening to rawking music and not feeling in the least bit tired and eeeee~!)

I'm listening to it now, I see what you mean. I love the synth effects, parts of it remind us of outer space, maybe of defeating Eggman/Robotnik as well.

It's just wonderful. Music can make me feel so... happy. Blissful. Free. There's not much in life that makes me feel as euphoric as certain music that just envelops me completely.

Music is also one of the few things that Miles genuinely and unabashedly enjoys. Normally he listens to classical music, but sometimes he listens to 'harder' stuff too. I'm glad we at least have that as a common interest, even if our tastes differ a little.

One thing I often do with music is make up videos in my head. Music is very visual to me as well as engaging my other senses. I think I would actually prefer to be blind than deaf, given how much music means to me. I'm very glad that it's my vision that's pretty bad and that my hearing is actually extra-sensitive (perhaps to compensate).

Oy and I'm rambling now. Is it really almost 7am? I don't feel tired, but my babbling possibly means that I am ^^; Eh...

Shadow and I love music, too - we have a natural affinity for it, so I guess it figures. It's our escape, and it fills us with so much happiness and energy; it's like a drug without all the nasty side effects.

Shadow likes some classical music too, mainly piano instrumentals and other calmer pieces. He enjoys some of the rock we have on my iPod, too, but not too much of the angsty stuff. At the moment, we have a lot of love for techno music and the like as well.
