Okay, SEGA, stop killing everything Sonic ever was ;_; Seriously. Stop it. NOW!!

I am pissed and upset. Yeah, maybe I don't have much of a life, to care so much... but... IT BUGS ME >O

Sonic is going to be 5'10" in the Next Gen Sonic game. They gave him human proportions and made him taller than I am! That's... not right! Sonic is supposed to be small... He was cool because he didn't need to be human-sized in order to kick butt. Having him be human-sized is just TOO weird. I just can't fathom it, to be honest.

There's also going to be a new rival hedgehog... a cream colored hedgehog that looks a lot like Sonic :\ Great, all we need, ANOTHER Sonic look-a-like rival character!

Oh, and Sonic is "the Iblis Trigger", some kinda chosen one who can summon the Devil or something. Jei said the whole plot is sounding like something out of a Final Fantasy game. Whilst FF may be very cool, Sonic is NOT FF. Gyah! It's like they're just... changing EVERYTHING about Sonic and the fandom. Right now I really can't see much 'old-school' about that game at all... in fact, it barely even feels like a Sonic game, aside from in name :\ Screw you, SEGA ._.

Oh yeah, and the fourth playable character in the new Sonic Rivals game for PSP has been confirmed as... wait for it... ANOTHER NEW CHARACTER!! 'Cause we need more new characters, oh yes. >.>

::Sigh:: This is not good. The Sonic fandom is heading in a direction that just feels so different from what I'm used to. There's not much left to cling to... it's all changed, all different... all so much the same as every other fandom out there now. It's so divorced from what it once was.

Maaaaaaaaaan...5'10? Why do they keep changing Sonic! You know, I haven't played a good Sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2 for the DC. It makes me sad. ;_; Yeah, and I'm sick of the new character every game thing. Instead we could be developing other characters but noooooooooo. 9_9

I don't read Archie anymore either...they screwed up SatAM for me. It's all stupid plots now.

I miss SatAM.

I've said this before, but the kids who only know Sonic from Sonic X...they scare me. XD Seems like most 10-14 year olds have no idea what SatAM is and they only know the Sonic X Sonic. Which isn't bad...but it's completely different from the Sonic that I grew up loving. Like...totally different personalities. Sonic is more of an ass nowadays. I don't like.

Yeeeeah....It's sad to think that...well, the old image of Sonic isn't simply being changed. It's being lost. This isn't the Sonic that was famous - this is the Sonic riding on the awesome Sonic's past successes =( Besides, how are they supposed to get anything as in depth as before when there's a new character every 3 months? Another hedgehogish thing as of late, whooooooope.

It's all about being cool now. I miss those days when shows used to like...teach morals. I hardly see it anymor. I miss 'ze old Sonic!

It feels like Sega knows they already have a hold on us old skool Sonic fans...so they aren't catering to us anymore. Time for some new blood they say. Evil.

Let's pretend Sega never screwed Sonic over and pretend we're back in the days of SatAM and Genesis. ^_^

You are wise ;_; I'm glad there's people like you out there, otherwise I'd start to feel pretty stupid for clinging so much to the old-school/retro stuff ^^;

And yeah, Sonic is DEFINITELY more of an ass now... especially in Sonic X. In the recent games he's kinda... I dunno... nothingy. Generic. But in Sonic X they turned his attitude into a bit of an attitude problem :\ Bleh.

I have a few friends who are still much old school Sonic. I've been around the net Sonic community for a long time though, so they're mostly all old friends who all loved SatAM and junk. ^_^ Nothing wrong with being clingy to quality! :D

Yes, Sonic's attitude makes me sad. ;_;

Oh and there's a song called. Fly (I think) by Celine Dion. Reminds me of Sontails too. Usually I'm not a Celine fan, but I like this song.

Heh, the strange thing is, as far as timespan goes... I'm a fairly 'recent' Sonic fan. I mean, I used to watch AoStH when I was little, and I played Sonic 2 at the arcade... but I was a Nintendo baby and never owned a SEGA console. I only really discovered Sonic and got into the fandom less than 2 years ago. Yet even so, it was the older games and cartoons that really pulled me in and got me obsessed. Something about them just called out to me in a way the newer games, whilst fun, have never really been able to ^^; Weird.

Ooo, another Sontailsy song? :P I'll have to go download it! You got me TOTALLY hooked on "You're So Foxy" ^^;

That's good though. I had an Atari at 2, got a Nintendo at 8, a Sega at 10 or 11 I think...and once I got my Sega and played Sonic, that was it, I was hooked and loyal to Sega. XD And then the cartoon came out and my obsession just grew. XD
