Speaking of the aforementioned "printing firm in Locking road", their application cut-off date is soon. I'm hoping I'll get an interview 'cause I really like how the job looks. It's not just one thing, you know... it's quite varied. Plus it's a small business, sounds friendly and nice. And I like the stuff they make... it's all very simple yet professional, sophisticated, aesthetic. The pay's probably crap, but crap money is better than no money...

Got my UCAS application in today (a day late XD oops... just gotta hope they'll still accept it ^^;). I applied for five Unis. I could have applied for six, but really the only ones that would be any good are either ones within a few hours of here, or one that Jei might go to too. I don't think I'm up to going off across the country far from home by myself quite yet. That's still a little too scary for me :P

I got invited to about five different Guilds on Gaia over the past couple days O.o If you argue proficiently about ANYTHING in the extended discussion forums, you can almost guarantee someone will PM you in an attempt to recruit you for their cause ^^; (Also I picked up the latest collection item, because one of the modes has little birdies... they're Flickies, damn it!! >O)



I still can't believe I'm gonna be (probably) living in a house that has the address "2 Pear Tree Gardens". La la la pear tree gardens... XD Also, it's the same house number as my old house. TWOTWOTWO.

Maybe there's a bit of residual hyperness left over from my last post O.o

Edit: What the heck is up with 'Tails-ko' (aka femme-Tails)? x.x If you make Tails female and give 'her' a big chest and long hair etc... IT AIN'T TAILS ANYMORE >/ ... most femme-Tails pics don't look anything like Tails besides the obvious two tails. Could be any voluptuous flowy-haired vixen fanchara. (As for what the difference is between them portraying him as female and me saying he's gay... well... the second can't be proved either way XD The first... can >.>)

Aww, making female versions of male characters and male versions of female characters is just fun! ^^; I've seen plenty of female Satoshi and Takeshi and Kojiro and male Kasumi and Musashi. It's amusing~. Ta me.

I've gotta agree with Twitchy here, heh. I dunno why, but when I see an artist on DA with a certain avatar to represent themselves, and then they draw themselves the other way around, it's just a cool pic to me. I can imagine the differences are sometimes as large as they are simply to exemplify the fact that it's a different gendered version of the character, plus with anime-ish ones that's kinda 'default' ^^; It's the personality that often makes the character, though. However, in the cases you're speaking of, Jai, they usually edit that to go along with the new look, and then it's not the same character, hehe.

Just to be mean and annoying, there's evidence that shows that Tails wouldn't be gay - maybe not straight, but certainly not entirely gay. I suppose it's not provable eveidence, but I think it would be enough to sway a jury, hehe ;) Wee for devil's advocate :P

Do you always feel the need to play devil's advocate Lunar? I mean, a lot of statements people make can have a flipside or something that conradicts it, but this doesn't mean everyone's always calling for debate. n.n; It seems like you feel the need to always make a point, even if that point contadicts your own belief or preference.

I've been guilty of this myself, because I enjoy debating, and I can often see both sides of an argument, even if an argement wasn't intended. So I'll often play devil's advocate just because I can. After a while, people tend to view you as disagreeable, and are afraid to say anything in front of you, knowing you'll probably argue for the sake of argument.

So yeah, maybe when you feel you might be being "mean and annoying" by posing an oposing view, maybe you should trust the instict and curb that tendancy. XD

A bit touchy, are we? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, but I had my reasons for it this time.

I'm also quite a fan of doing it not for the sake of argument, but for the sake of actually showing people both sides of an argument who can't always see it, so it's become a habit. Oh, and if you couldn't tell, the mean and annoying thing was sarcastic.

Gotta agree with Jei here x.o The whole 'devil's advocate' thing is more than mildly irritating. Disputing a point is one thing, but when you're doing it just to be contrary (as is the point of the devil's advocate - "person who takes an opposing or unpopular view just for the sake of argument"), it just gets old after a while.

And why would you want to be 'mean and annoying'? I'd love to see this 'evidence' that shows Tails wouldn't/couldn't be gay... he's only 8 years old in the games, too early to tell. You can quote Sonic X and Archie at me, but they're spin-offs :P In-game evidence?

I like debating, and when I see an issue like this - femme vs gay - which I generally place arond the same calibur, it bugs me when I see someone take jabs at either one. If I actually pissed you off, I'm sorry, though I should've guessed this was the response I'd get.

My response to Jei answers your questions, cept the in game evidence one. Though I'm technically not sure if Sega considers X to be canon, I'd be inclined to doubt it since, well, it's just made from the games itself.

I dunno why you still have a problem with that, Lunar... I mean, most best friends share a lot of the same view points and back each other up. It's just an impression it gives; I suppose it kinda feels like whenever there's a disagreement, it almost instantly becoems a 2 on 1 kinda thing, if that makes sense. I know it's not meant to be like that, but that's the only reason it ever gets to me.

You may like debating, but this is my journal, and while it is open to the public, it is a place I go to rant about things and release my frustrations. I was not "making a jab" at anything, merely venting my discomfort. If you want to make an oppositional argument, you have a journal too. My journal is a place for friendly banter, not cold debate that feels like it's coming from a political adversary rather than a friend. If you wanna exchange views, fine. But perhaps lose the attitude that makes it feel like you only came here to debate and not because you want to engage with me at all on a personal level.

I have no problem with people who state oppositional views. In fact, several of my online pals are avid femme-Tails advocates. What I have a problem with is your self-professed 'devil's advocate' attitude and the smug almost arrogant edge your debate posts tend to have.

Ya know, try your best to forget everything I've said. It's not uncommon - I know I act on impulse too much in certain situations, and it's not worth fighting over such a small topic - relatively speaking. If we're gonna get mad, it may as well over be something big, heh.

I had points I wanted to make, not for the sake of devil's advocate but because I actually wanted to point something out (something you probably knew, but oh well), plus I'd be lying to say I wasn't annoyed to begin with. Also, there's a stupid little subconcious feeling regarding a different matter that's still in my head ^^;

The funny thing is, their femme-Tails characters usually don't resemble Tails AT ALL, physically OR personality-wise ^^; The only way you know it's supposed to be a female version of him is because of the two tails and possibly the eye color. I've seen original two-tailed fox female fox characters that look more like Tails than the ones that are actually supposed to BE him n.n;;

And yeah... Tails is boyish o.o But there's a rumour floating around (completely baseless x.x) that Tails was originally supposed to be female... sooo... yeah.

Ugh..I'll never understand why people would want to convert Tails into a girl. Granted, Tails was supposed to be but was turned male, but that was a rough blueprint at the time. Not gonna say anything related to the gay part though, I'll leave that to freedom of opinion :P

Tails was never supposed to be female. As a character, he was designed male and was always meant to be male. Sonic's sidekick may have, at one stage, been suggested as a female. But Tails himself never was. His creator created him as Miles Prower, a male fox character.
