The power of asking nicely :D

I emailed SEGA-Europe yesterday politely asking them where my prize copy of Shadow the Hedgehog is, and this morning it arrived express delivery with a note of apology for the delay XD Never underestimate the power of a polite yet persistent letter of inquiry.

So now I have a shrink-wrapped brand new copy of Shadow and I don't know whether to throw it in my closet, play it, or sell it on eBay o.o Decisions, decisions...

Edit: Okay, £10 on eBay isn't even worth it. So I opened the box, read the booklet... and now can I throw the game away somewhere dark and never touch it again? n.n;

Okay... I... it just... I don't like Shadow, you guys know that by now. I don't hate him the way I used to ^^; But I just... don't think I can bring myself to play through this game. Kinda wishing I'd asked for a different game instead, but at least this completes my Gamecube Sonic collection.

That it does. Yet it only sells for about £10, even brand new, on eBay :\ And I admit a slight curiousity towards the game... if I sell it I'm gonna wish I played it, even if I actually have next to no interest in the game itself ^^;

What if I don't live near enough to any volcanos? ;_; I'm not sure the heat of, say, a mere oven would be enough. Especially when it comes to Chris x.o I bet he'd come back even if we threw him into the sun ._.;

I'm still holding out hope that Sonic's debut on the Wii will be worth the wait and will heal all the pain. ^^

Well, I personally sqee!ed at the game, but... I admit to being a Shadow fangirl. Not near as strongly as before, but... heh. Anyway. If you play just a bit of it, you may realize how much you REALLY hate the game and then be able to get rid of it. ^^

(Not that I hate the game, or Shadow... But... as a Shadow fangirl, the whole thing about 'he can be evil' broke my heart. ;_;)

I wanna give Shadow a chance... I'm just such a huge Sonic fan, it bugs me SO much that Shadow is marketed as being the 'black hedgehog who resembles Sonic' and who can 'easily rival his speed' x.o
For one thing... I don't think Sonic and Shadow look alike at ALL ^^;; They're entirely different colors... their spikes are very differently shaped... Shadow's chest is all fluffy... and his poses and gait are very different! He's not like Sonic at all ;_; They're both hedgehogs. And that's about it.
And I get annoyed when any character is supposedly able to rival Sonic's speed XD Because to me, Sonic will ALWAYS be the fastest thing alive... by far! [/rant]

... sorry ^^;;; I'm a liiiittle obsessive about Sonic and it colors my thinking.

No, I totally get that. Just because Shadow is the "Ultimate Lifeform" doesn't mean he can rival Sonic's speed. That just doesn't work. ^^ I believe he's the Ultimate Lifeform for his mind-set. He has this... sereness about him, I guess. He definately doesn't have Sonic's enthusiasm, but he's able to do something that a lot of people can't do: express dark emotions.

And for the record, Sonic and Shadow are about as alike as oranges and stuffed animals.

It isn't a fairy good game, but I'd definatley not give it lower than 6 personally
