One of the reasons I admire Sonic so much is because he's so confident. I only wish I had that same confidence, the way that he can just... go and do stuff, where he wants, when he wants, and not let worries hold him back. So, he's a little bit reckless... but I'd rather be reckless and live life with a bit of risk than be afraid of everything and safe but never experience life. I disagree with the people who say Sonic is a shallow uninteresting character... to me, he's such a vibrant character because he's so full of life! Like, he knows what feels good in life, and he balances it perfectly with his 'duty' to protect his friends and the planet. He's NOT selfish. He does have an ego, but he's not egocentric. If he was, he wouldn't risk his life over and over to save people he's never met and might never even see. But yeah... what I love about him is his confidence, how he's so animated, so alive... I imagine it would be pretty hard to be hanging out with him and not feel alive too n.n Sonic is so awesome, and I wish I knew how to live life the way he does.

Now that is so not true. Sonic is a very interesting character, who has these quirks to him that you just can't get over! I agree with you, that's a lame aspect on him. ;P
