Messing around in ImageReady.

AHH IT'S THE APOCALYPSE. ... okay, no it's not, but it might have been XD I know I said I'd NEVER use pics from those accursed last episodes of Season 2/3 to make icons, but... bleh. I just really wanted to try out using animations, and those were the only .gif'd clips I could find.

Which is why I'm making this post.

Does _anyone_ on my friends list know how to make .gif clips from media files? I assume I need some sort of screengrab program that can take multiple snaps in a row... I have Hypersnap DX, but it can only capture one shot every few seconds, so it's useless for capturing motion. I wanna icon some of my favorite snippets from AoStH (from the good quality eps I have), and perhaps some SatAM, Sonic X and/or OVA too. So... anyone? Please? ^_^

Well, that's it really, except that I have to get off to college in a few minutes and I only got two hours' sleep XD; So I'm in a bit of a weird sleep-deprived-hyper mood. I'll probably fall asleep randomly halfway through StudySkills, but StudySkills has that effect anyway x.o

I need to drop my CV off at Game and Gamestation. Because it would be awesome to work in a videogame store, no doubt. ^^

I remember someone telling me that Illustrator has the power to make .gif files... But I could be mistaken. My strategy would be to capture each frame I wanna use individually, then find a program to link them. I have no knowledge in this area :(

I assume you've googled for programs that would convert from video format_x to a gif. I'm sure there's some programs out there, but I don't know what they are.

It's either Imageready or Windows Movie Maker (If your computer came with it) that has the ability to at least import .mov files into frames that are....I think .3 seconds each. I'm also pretty certain that WMM allows you to take screenshots of just about any movie - printscreen shouldn't allow it for most movies that I know of. So, worst case scenario, I figure you can import a movie into there and take screenshots that way, then resize them?

I'll have to look at WMM again; I think it's all in there and not Imageready. If you don't have it, well, maybe sending the directory to you would work ^^;
