Tidal warnings o.o
Oct. 5th, 2006 10:24 pmI think Paula Abdul broke my Winamp ;_; I fixed it with a clean uninstall/reinstall but now I'm scared to play anymore cheesy 80s music in case it commits suicide again ^^;
The Flood Warnings are up in force again. The next few days have an especially high high-tide, which is already enough to splash up over the walls (11m) but it's going up to 13.7m over the next couple days o.o I'm glad I'm up on the second floor ^^; If the streets flood, the basement level apartments will get the worst of it, and the ground floor apartments might be affected too... If that happens, chances are the whole building would be evacuated just for safety measures, but at least there's much less chance of damage to my stuff :P It's interesting looking at maps showing where the worst flooding would occur, and realizing I live right where it would flood deepest ^^; ... buuut if it doesn't flood in the next few days, there's unlikely to be another flood warning until next September/October when the peak tides come in again.
Then again, it should only flood badly if there's a giant storm or something, so hopefully the worst that will happen is a little bit of water will splash up over the barriers and onto the street, but no buildings will get flooded.The people building apartments and a casino on Knightstone Island must be crazy! x.x It just right out into the sea... it's driftwood waiting to happen!
Ho-hum.
