Update ^^

I think I feel a little better, mood-wise, this morning... although I'm incredibly tired and my head hurts n.n; I don't think I'm 100% well, but at least today is a shorter day at college... 11am - 5pm + 2.5hrs travel time. So, it's only an 8.5 hour day as opposed to Monday the 11hr day :P Still, it's a pain in the butt dragging myself there... but... it'll be worth it when I get my Access certificate and can go to Uni ^^

For those of you who don't know, my girl cat Fara is sick ;_; She has something wrong with her brain that's affecting her moods and coordination. She's on steroid medication at the moment, which seems to be reducing the inflammation on her brain, helping her to seem more normal. But she still has good days and bad days... sometimes she just seems so drunk and confused, it's sad ;_; And then Fox, the big brute, keeps teasing her and eating her food n.n; Aww... he doesn't mean to be mean... he's just a greedy little creature. I love them both so much... ;_; If it turns out that Fara's condition is uncurable and she deteriorates, I'll be devastated... but I have hope for her... she's such a resiliant little fighter!

Jei, being the incredibly sweet girlfriend that she is, bought me an earpiece, so we can talk for free on Skype. Unfortunately, I just CANNOT get the darn thing to work on my computer >/ I'll have to try rebooting tonight or something and see if that does anything (I hate rebooting ^^; My computer tends to be on 24/7, which is incredibly bad for it, I know... but I can't stand having to shut everything down and then reopen it all again... For instance, right now I have open: 18 Firefox windows, 7 Internet Explorer windows, WinAmp, AOL, Skype, Control Panel, FrontPage, and LiveJournal Semagic [and often I also have PhotoShop, ImageReady, GetMidi, MS Word and more open ^^;]. Plus my computer is sloooooow in loading up Windows :P). I WILL get it to work! ... Somehow ;_;

Well, I guess I'd better go take my shower and get going. There's more I wanted to say, I'm sure of it... but if I remember, I'll update from college n.n I hope everyone is fairing well (and that no one got too much damage from the severe blizzards that wholloped NJ/the east coast a few days ago O.o), and I hope to get myself back into the social swing of things within the next few days n.n Take care, everyone!

Eep, your days are longer than I thought ^^; I had figured they were closer to 6 hours =/ I'm sure it sucks to get up and drag yourself so far with the travel time, but you're right, it'll be worth it in the end! Yay! n.n

As for Fara...I'm so sorry to hear that she's ill! I've never seen anything similar with another pet, so I don't know what this particular condition is like, but I'm sure it's terrible to have to watch. I bet it's curable, or that it will pass with time. I can't imagine something like that being permanent in a cat who hasn't been like that in the past.

Ok, ok, what can't you get working? The earpiece, or Skype? Cause I still have that mic at my dorm (going back later today, heh), and I can still get it out there. If it's Skype...well, troubleshooting time! Metal Fox just introduced me to Skype - it's a pretty sweet program, pending it works.

You, my friend, sound like you need 2 gigs of RAM, heh. So many things open....I still don't know how you handle it. Crazy!

Keep feeling better! Maybe the headache will stop by the time your classes start; would be a good thing ^^

It's the earpiece... it's a Bluetooth one, and I've added it to my Bluetooth devices, and that all seems fine. Checked the Device manager, and the drivers and everything are fine. It's just refusing to show up as an audio device ^^; Therefore, I can't select it to use with Skype.

And believe me, my computer needs more RAM ;_; It's running so slooooow lately... ^^; I can't even watch the next gen Sonic trailers without seeeerious lag. Methinks it's time for a new computer n.n (If such things were so simple)

Ah, you'll find a way to get more RAM eventually. It always happens with time...I remember my brother paying over $100 for a 512 stick several years ago, and now a laptop 512 stick from Micron or SimpleTech is only about $60. Yay for eventual price drops!

I didn't realize how time consuming it was for you just to get to school, no wonder why the trains down there drive you crazy.

Sorry to hear about Fara, I'm sure it is incredibly painful to watch to see her look like she has been possessed. I never had pets so I can't say I've ever seen it myself. I do hope that she'll recover soon though and they do cure her before she hurts herself any more :(

Wish I knew what to do about the earpiece, never heard of Bluetooth. Some type of special microphone? Never tried out Skype either, meh

I think it is time you chucked that old thing and did get a new comp. What type is it anyway? Just try to relax a bit if you can and not let the stress get to you or you'll only feel worse overall. Good luck man, get well soon
