£5 for a pair of jeans at Tesco XD Whhhhy do people spend £40+ on brand-name jeans when Tesco's Cherokee jeans are a fiver each? O.o (I don't give a darn about brand names... pants are pants are pants, and if they look okay, who cares about the label? :P).

'Papa's' is the best fish n' chippy in the world. Maybe. No wonder they're acclaimed and they have awards. That fillet of plaice was goooood. Fish is good, but some places it's just tasteless and/or tough and/or bony, but Papa's seafood restaurant is none of that. That was REAL fresh fish. One of the perks of living by the sea, I suppose ^^

On Monday I have to go enroll at Weston College o.o I don't have a work placement yet ^^; So, I'll have to start calling settings on Monday too. Can't do the course without a work placement. I also need to work out a CV to drop at a few shops that are hiring. Yep, summer is over for sure. ... bring on Christmas!! XDDD

XD lol it sounds like you're really settling in well to your new location ^^

Yeah, it kinda feels like home already ^^ The town is very familiar and I know how to get to most places (bank, library, job center, supermarket, etc). Amazing how quickly one can adapt to a completely new environment ^^;

Yeah ^^ and remember how beforehand you were such a wreck about everything? This kind of shows that you really are a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for =^-^= *huggles* I'm glad everything is going well for you big bro!

I don't really like fish all that much personally, but that's just me

Weston is a really nice place though, glad you're liking it there ^.^ heh, means you're closer now too XD

XD True... you're only about 45 minutes away from me now!
Just out of curiousity, which Bristol train station is closest to where you live (don't worry, I'm not asking for your exact location, just a vague idea of which part of Bristol you're in)? Bristol Parkway? Bristol Temple Mead? Or a different station?

From: [identity profile] leonskennedy827.livejournal.com
It;s the Bristol Temple Meads one, near my Aikdio dojo, heh, pretty convininet ^^

Man, my mom only just now knows you live alot closer though o.o;;; I thought I'd told her! It must be close since apparantley when I was younger we used to go there every Sunday, and I used to call it "The Weston" XDD The pier down there's great! Ghost Train scared the pants off me back in the day though o.o;;;

From: [identity profile] flyboy-fox.livejournal.com
Yeah, the pier is awesome ^^ I haven't spent much time down there though, because I don't have anyone to go with. I wanna try out the bowling and the dodgem cars, 'cause they look fun ^^

Heh, whenever I see that Thomas cart on the beach, I always think of you :P

From: [identity profile] leonskennedy827.livejournal.com
No surprises there XD Gotta make sure I have a camera for when I see that

Though can I ask, now this is a REALLY stupid question, but do they have camels down there now instead of donkies? O.O;;; That's what someone told me in Year 10 and I was just wondering

Date: 2006-09-03 12:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] flyboy-fox.livejournal.com
I haven't seen any camels. Only donkeys. The Thomas cart is still pulled by a donkey, and they still have lots of donkeys giving rides down the beach. The only unusual animals I've seen are llamas (or maybe they're alpacas) up on Brean Down. But on the Weston beachfront, I can assure you, no camels, just donkeys :)

Phew ^^;;;

Hey by the way, my mom says that she's going to talk to my dad to see if maybe one Sunday I could come down and see ya since you're so close, of course this is after you're settled in, and if you don't mind ^.^

Oh yeah...I need your new phone number...I do have one but that's your old one I think, in fact I'm almost certain it was

I agree- pants ARE pants ARE pants. ^^ You can tell that I love thrift/ department stores... or whatever places like "Target" are called...

Date: 2006-09-03 05:11 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] flyboy-fox.livejournal.com
Yeah, thrift stores are perfectly good! I don't get why some people splash out so much money on 'designer' goods, when you can get something very similar and just as comfortable (maybe even moreso) for a fraction of the price without a designer label o.o

From: [identity profile] psychicninja.livejournal.com
It's just people trying to prove that they're better than others through their clothing. It's perfectly stupid. n_n'

pants are pants are pants, and if they look okay, who cares about the label?

Hear hear! And don't get me started on the prefaded/preripped jeans. What kind of a world is it where wearing shitty clothes makes you look more fashionable? I can guarantee you no one in the business world would hire someone who showed up in jeans with the holes everywhere. Stupid fashion x.x

Fish with taste is an uncommon thing when you're miles from the ocean, heh. I notice a significant difference between San Antonio and Houston alone. I'd hate to live, like, in the middle of the US and see what the fish is like :P

Yay for enrollment, and yay for the Christmas season beginning! :D

Oh gosh, yes x.x If I wanted ripped/patched/torn-and-held-together-with-safety-pins jeans... I could get a £5 pair from Tesco and do it myself :P (But why anyone wants clothes that makes them look like they live out of a garbage can, I don't know o.o I admit I kinda get attached to my old jeans even if they get scuffed - but that's sentimental value; buying them that way already has no meaning O.o).

I hear ya brother!

Yeah, tell me about it. My sister got some REALLY tight pants today, she insists they're fine but you can see they aren't, and she says "everyone has them like that" like how she bought a Playboy (Designer) pencil case for £7 when they were 99p ones in there o.O;;; People are so shallow these days...

A seven quid pencil case? X_x wow, that's insane. It's just a pencil case for God's sake! XDD Getting a 'designer label' pencil case is crazy. So yeah, I guess you know exactly what I mean XD

Yeah, Doctor Who stuff of that sort doesn't even cost that much, and some of that stuff can be sorta pricey!

I understand some people may call me a hypocrite since I want to buy a Dalek T-Shirt (I love those lethal pepperpots XDD) but there's a difference, a T-Shirt from a fandom may be of one that means something to that paticular person, it isn't just the label. With stuff like Addidas, Puma etc it IS just the label, and peers need to be fashnionable so they make those companies filthy rich.

With how shallow people are these days, gotta give 'em credit, nice money grabbing scheme XD But I suppose it's their £ at the end of the day

Absolutely Ridiculous.

Nitch: Have these people never heard of "Garage Sales", sweety?

McGee: Maybe a good thrift shop would do, Nitch, love.

Favre: Or they could sew their own.
