flyboy_foxHeeeeadaaaache... blech. At least it's not a migraine, but regular headaches are no fun either :P I blame the headache fairy, and not the fact that I stayed up 'til 5am after entirely binging too much on chocolate and Pringles. 'Cause bad eating and bad hours have nothing to do with it at all. Nope.
Hah, I've been sleeping on the floor these past few nights ^^; I don't have a bed yet. I do have a flimsy little guest-bed fold-up mattress thingy, but in the process of arranging my new room, I can't seem to find enough floor space for it. So instead, I've just been sleeping on the floor in the corner of the room with my big soft fox tails for a pillow (the awesome proportionate fox tails that Jei made for me ^^) and my winter fleece/cape thingy for a blanket. Actually perfectly comfy! I kinda... don't want a bed now n.n;
I've been sketching a lot more Sontails doodles in my notebook. I think I'm getting better. Jei seems to think I'm improving, and as an expert artist I trust her opinion implicitly. I still have a way to go... my drawing confidence was knocked back almost irreparably by my high-school art teacher, who advised me not to take GCSE Art because I wasn't good enough (and if I got a bad grade, the school would suffer in its ratings - that's grammar schools for you, maintaining high ranks in the league tables by only letting students take exams in subjects they're good at), and I seem to be rather good at taking knocks to my esteem. But that's stupid really, because if I give up and don't keep trying, I never WILL improve, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy :\ So I'm going to keep drawing and keep getting better! Because I can. It might take me a little longer, but I can do it :)
Speaking of Sontails stuff, I REALLY need to get on and update Sontails.com. There's no excuse now. What kind of Sontails fan am I if I can't even keep my own website up to date? x.x But anyway, I'm working on a new Flash splash page for the 'site, with a lot of help from Jei (she's the artistic side of the team, naturally ^^). I have most of the graphics I need now... I just have to incorporate them into the layout. I really want to overhaul the entire 'site layout with a solid template and rollovers etc, but getting the Flash element up and running would be a great start. I also need to upload some of the new content... fics from Sphix, Matt, CJ and others... drabbles from Tifa... art from PsychicNinja and others... I have a whole load of new stuff that I need to get up onto the site. No more excuses, Jai.
Also, no more excuses when it comes to writing. I need to finish the fic I started writing for Jei, about when Sonic and Tails were younger, and Tails got to fly the Tornado for the first time ^^ I'm pretty pleased with how it's coming out. I know some of it's more fanon than canon, I gueeeess... but there's so much ambiguity about how and when Sonic and Tails met, etc, depending on which aspect of the fandom's media you look at (shows, comics, games etc), so I guess it doesn't matter too much. As long as I can keep them in character and not mess up too badly, I guess it's okay. I mean, writing fics for almost any pairing in the Sonic universe is automatically fanon anyway... ::Sweat drop:: Kinda feel like I have to justify myself, and that's silly really. I just write what I believe in, and how I see it. I think that's what everyone does, be it through writing, art, or whatever. In the end, I'm writing for myself and for Jei, and it doesn't really matter if others don't see things the way she and I do. But it would be nice to share some of it anyway. I definitely intend to put some writing up on Sontails.com and on ZoomSwish!'s fanfiction.net account too. I'm a writer, so I should write!
Wow, Jai clearly has severe motivation problems ^^; I've got to finish making my bedroom inhabitable first, anyway o.o; Nice as it is to sleep curled up in the corner of the room surrounded by plushies, notebooks and unsorted items of clothing... it's clutter. And clutter = erk! A neat and organized room is imperative to my productive functionality ^^;
So, should I go get to work on that then?

You're a great artist and can draw Tails WAY better then I could.
Even my drawing of Musashi kept poking Tails and thinking he were a Rokon/Kukon, DARNIT, I SUCK AT HIM. xD;
Your Tails looks pretty cool too, though the eye farthest from us looks a little off.
... Looks like it would have been fun to color. >D
