flyboy_foxSo, preview pages for SU #29 are out. Oh how the mighty have fallen... It seems Scourge is having a little trouble in the No Zone.
The first page just kinda recaps everything that happened with Scourge so far - how he used to just be 'evil Sonic', then he became Scourge as a result of the M.E., and how he took over his world and used the Anarchy Beryl to become near god-like. And now he's locked up in the No Zone.
But then... but then. Awwww... Scourge's strengths have basically all been nuked by the collar he has to wear, so he can't do anything. As a result, he's basically the target of all the prison yard bullies ^^;; The first we see of him in the exercise yard is him being shoved around and beaten up by a group of ruffian convicts. Ol' Green looks so peeved yet tired and dejected. I kinda wanna give him a hug, despite how unwise that would be even with the restraint collar n.n;; Aaanyway... it's implied that he gets beaten up like that ALL THE TIME and has even had bones broken as a result... I... wow, that's harsh. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but wow. Poor Scourge. I feel bad for him.
Miles, on the other hand, has never seen anything so hilarious in his life. I'm afraid he's going to have an aneurysm from how hard he's laughing in my head. And he doesn't laugh very often at all (maybe a sardonic "hah!" if you're lucky). But he's beside himself with mirth. So, um, I'm glad he's amused... I'll just continue to quietly feel bad for Scourge n.n;
Still, I know Scourge will end up getting the upper hand and the humiliation won't last. If the future covers are any indication, his spines will grown back pretty fast, too >_> Also, I'm hoping it's just a scan resolution thing, but he seems to be a very odd almost turquoise colour, a blue-green rather than green.
Anyway, Scourge preview pages! Yeah!
Edit: Oh, dear lord... judging from what people who've already read the whole issue are saying, the preview pages are just the tip of the iceberg of what happens to him in the rest of #29... Damn, I want to read the full comic now ;_;

The really scary part of all this, though, for me?

I don't want to see her just playing the role of Scourge's arm-candy for the whole of the arc. In fact, I think it would be awesome if she told him to fuck off, actually XD Anything would be better than her fawning and clinging to her bad-boy like a mindless trophy chick. But if Carrie thinks there's something interesting between 'em, I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see for myself, despite my inherent dislike of Fi ^^;

I couldn't stand how wishy-washy her character was, before, which was part of what drove me crazy about her. She'd seem all strong and then wibble and waffle and it was like 'bitch, step off 8|'
If she keeps up like this, though? I could totally learn to really like her. And this is saying a lot considering she ranked right over there with Mina for me! D= But ffffff... I actually like her in this issue. ._.;; And I hopehopeHOPE Ian keeps her like this. Cause this makes her -interesting-. =Db

Date: 2011-06-08 08:31 pm (UTC)I think it was kind of a discredit to Scourge himself to keep such a bimbo around just for the cred - I'd like to think he'd like to hook up with someone a little more fiery and independent who can think for themselves, rather than just some chick swooning over his badassery. I mean, I'm sure he has no problem with chicks swooning over his badassery XD;; But for him to invest actual time and interest in someone long-term, hopefully it'd be someone a bit more interesting than that. So, yeah... I guess I shall have to see for myself what's goin' down :3

She just... says it, too. Just lays it on him bluntly. THAT, right there, was what totally caught me off guard. The more I've re-read the conversation they have the more it's just like ffffffff she really -does- believe in him. And it's not her just being a simpering follower who thinks she needs him. Hell, SHE was in charge! She still is! But she believes in Scourge and wants to get HIM back on top of the world.
