So, ah, since it's been publicly announced now, I can confirm that Archie Sonic writer Ian Flynn and artist Tracey Yardley WILL be attending Summer of Sonic 2011 in June. I've known this for a while but it's been officially confirmed now, so... yeah.

I run the comics section of SoS. Therefore, I will be looking after Ian and Tracey. Everyone on SSMB is all "OMG FLAYBOI U GETZ TO LOOK AFTER UR HEROEZ!!111". Wah.

I should be over the moon, but I'm terrified. I mean, it's so awesome, and I'm so happy and honoured and all that but...

EEP~! *Massive panic attack a-go!*

Miles isn't helping. He doesn't want to see them at all because it makes him feel weird I guess. Goddammit.

Hehe... ^^;; I'm usually okay, totally unfazed by 'celebrity'. I mean, at previous SoS events I've met and mingled with Sonic the Comic's Nigel Dobbyn and Nigel Kitching, Crush 40's Johnny and Jun, Bentley Jones, Steve Lycett, etc etc. I'm not usually one to be shy or nervous around famous people, even really cool ones who I really like. But this is kinda blowing my mind @_@;

I used to be a staff volunteer at Dragon*Con (when I could afford the airfare to fly out) - believe me, I know how it feels to get fazed when you're meant to be wrangling "the talent". It's hardly ever as bad as you imagine, though. :)

Dragon*Con, eh? Awesome. What kinda folks were you looking after there? I've taken care of celebs before (like the aforementioned list), but given that Archie Sonic is one of my absolute favourite... ah, I'm just extra nervous. I'd like to make a good impression and not say or do anything stupid, but I'm kind of a natural klutz, heh... >_>

You should be fine, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'll be there again this year, so the offer of talking to me if you get all nervous is there. XD

I kinda wish I could have hung around with Johnny and Jun more last year. They are amazing, and Johnny is actually quite funny. Though I do admit I'd be nervous if I were having to help a "famous in the fandom" person.

Not really having read Archie, I don't really know these people so far, so, yeah... ^^;;

By the way, I'm STILL using the bath stuff you sent me a while ago! I don't have baths very often, so I'm making it last, but I used some of the French Kiss bath bomb a couple of nights ago and it was soooo nice ♥ So, thanks again!

Haha, yeah, Johnny is hilarious... He was testing the mic by walking around the venue singing What I'm Made Of before we opened last year and bringing it over to us to join in. It was awesome hollering "Let me show you just WHAT I'M MADE OF" into his outheld mic XD

Basically, Ian Flynn is the current writer, and Tracey Yardley is a major artist on the comic. They're the lead writer and artist on the Scourge and Suppression Squad arc around the late 170's to early 180's numbered comics.

I still think if Johnny hadn't been a musician, he should have been a comedian. So glad I managed to go last year because the loud noise of Crush 40 Live was more than worth the resulting headache. XD

Ahaha, okay, that explains a lot. The only one I've really read is the free one I got last year. I'll have to dig out my lanyard as well, so I've got something to wear my ticket on.
