So, last night I found out that hurling a glass tumbler at the wall will cause it to explode into a million pieces that will go everywhere, and that a tiny bead of glass the size of a grain of sand can (and will) cut into your thumb deeply. Hmm. Who'd figure?

Then tonight I found out that Prince of Persia is a really good game and that Jei and I should have started playing it a while ago since we got it for £4.99 and had just left it sitting on the shelf for months before today.

My moods are shifting up and down like the display on a cardiac monitor. I suppose at least that's better than flatlining.

I hate winter. But there are many things that I love and will hold on to. (However, the giant SPIDER on my desktop wallpaper is not one of them. Thank you, Miles.)

Life goes on ♥

(Also, RIP Menkay and lots of love to Jei and her family. He was an awesome cat and I'll miss him too...)

Yeah, glass is a bitch!

I have that issue with Silent Hill 2.... only replace 'months' with 'years.' I keep meaning to play it cause I hear how great it is, but I just don't get around to it (and now that my PS2 is RIP, it'll be a while yet before I even have the opportunity.)

But yeah, I like fluctuating moods better than sticking at either extreme too (or worse, ending up zombified and entirely moodless whatsoever like whenever I try to take pills for my issues.)

I agree. Medications that just 'blank' ya are horrible. That's one reason I stopped treating my winter S.A.D with tablets. It was actually worse being stuck in that nothingy spaced-out distant place than it was just being sad. At least when you're sad you feel SOMETHING, even if it means you just sit there sobbing your eyes out ^^;

I oughta play SH sometime. I keep hearing how good it is, too :P

I get what you're saying, entirely, and it's why I dislike when people try to force medication on others. Not only is it their own decision in the first place whether to take it or not, but in some cases it honestly just makes things worse!

There's always side effects. And frankly, I'd prefer to occasionally make a dumb decision or two in the throes of mania than risk some of the shit you hear might happen if you take medication for it.

When I get another PS2 (I'd just save for a PS3 if I didn't have a pile of PS games that I still play,) maybe I'll just shut up and play it.

Yeah, side effects suck too :P Mine weren't too bad, but coming off it was a BITCH. Those brain-shock things are just horrid, like being electrocuted every half hour or so... Then again, I did stop cold-turkey instead of weaning off. Because I can never do things in half-measures x.o

But yeah. Definitely prefer just dealing with who I am rather than who/what medication decides to make me. Sometimes 'meds' are necessary and I respect that, but it's seen as the catch-all solution for everything and I don't think that's right.

When I have money again I might look into SH. I know... very little about it, really. And creepy games aren't my usual. But if so many people like it, even other people who don't choose horror genre stuff usually, there must be something in it.

Really?
I stopped my pills cold-turkey, once, too, but I kind of liked the effects of being 'off.' But... we were probably taking different things, too. Meds aren't supposed to be the first thing people turn to. Yet it seems like more and more often that's how it works.

I don't know a whole lot about SH either. Which is why I should play my copy, haha.

Yeah, if you're seeking to break something for a release of energy, I've found porcelain cereal bowls break evenly and don't... burst like that. Glad you weren't cut up more seriously!

...also guess what I found at my parents' the other day. And am willing to ship to England. Guessguessguess. >D

You're welcome. I've leveled out now, but there was about a year and a half there where it was either glassware or me that got broken... and I preferred glassware.

SERIOUSLY. (And oh god, there was bad fanfic from sixth grade in the paper compartment...) I need to find out how much it'll cost, first - but I've got tomorrow off, so I can walk over first thing in the AM and ask!

I feel kinda bad because the glass that I smashed was actually Miles' and not really mine, and he only got it the day before and it was really actually quite nice ^^; IDEK. And my reason for smashing it was the most ridiculous thing ever (it had to do with Facebook and nothing to do with him, seriously, GO ME). I need to chill out, ugh.

Anyway! Wow... I'm really happy. I'm sure Miles will appreciate it (and I'll make sure not to break it x.o). Lemme know when you have a shipping estimate, and I'll PayPal it over with my address (: This has made my night, even if it's not technically for me ♥ Thanks so much!! (Haha, if I ever found any of my old fic... @_@ I think I'd curl up and die.)

What's wrong with Winter?D=

It starts to get dark at 4pm and the lack of daylight hours (i.e. serotonin) triggers my depression. Nothing inherently 'wrong' with winter. I just dislike it because I spend it feeling crappy :P

Ahh..we don't have Winter so I loved every bit of it in the U.K..besides that's when I was born..

Prince of Persia. xDDD So ridiculous, but fun.

I do hope it didn't get stuck inside your foot! It is HORRIBLY painful squeezing those things out and they will cause you immense pain if left in. URGH.

-twitchytwitch-

Aww, I'm sorry about Jei's cat. ;_;

It really is fun XD I love how agile the main character is and all the cool moves he can do! Plus the game just has a really cool Aladdin vibe blended with Shadow of the Colossus and it's awesome and pretty~

It was my hand, not my foot, but nah it didn't get stuck it just pierced a pretty deep little hole that bled a bit.

Thanks for the sympathy regarding Menkay. He was a good boy. He was 16 years old, which is pretty old for a cat, so at least he had a long and happy life ♥

I crack up whenever you "die", though, because the animation is so silly (I'm assuming you're playing the 3D version here).

Ah, that's great! ;_; That it didn't get stuck in there, I mean, not that you got wounded, obviously. xD;

What a long life! I'm actually happy for him now, even if I do sympathize with you and Jai. ♥;; I'm glad he was happy.

It is pretty silly XD A lot of the game is silly and the dialogue is hilarious. But hey, that's one of the reasons I love it!

It was a good long life and he's at rest now so it's good (: Much better for him to peacefully go than have his suffering dragged out.

Agreed on all points. xD

That icon goes well with this conversation, I must say. xD

RIP Menkay and RIP... glass. XD Oh well... we'll just have to get another one when we have money. n.n

Anyway, evil winter... >.> but at least today looks like a nice day. Maybe it'll be a relatively sunny winter in Bournemouth? I know it doesn't do much about the days ending early though :P

And about the spider.... sorry n.x;; My bad.
