Lol, funny how when I stop posting 'bond-related stuff, I can't think of anything else to write. I've become so boring. Or maybe this just IS my life right now. Anyway, I'll see what I can say that's mundane and benign... nothing personal.

Jei and I went to Castlepoint the day before yesterday. It's basically just a giant shopping centre with all the big-name stores that you'd get in the high street (Argos, TK Maxx, Waterstones etc), just on a larger scale, and some restaurants and cafés thrown in the mix. We had lunch at Nando's, which was goooood. Jei had a portabello mushroom and halloumi cheese burger and I had a spicy bean burger with mango and lime chutney, cheese and pineapple. It was absolutely delicious, but I was so so soooo sleepy afterwards, I felt like the walking dead. Doesn't help that my inbuilt Colombian bodyclock tells me it's time for siesta at precisely 2:30pm each day. Seriously, it's like clockwork, every day I get suddenly really sleepy at 2:30pm.

So Miles abruptly took control, directed us into Waterstones and upstairs to the Costa café and ordered a double espresso to go >_>; I should reiterate at this point that I don't normally drink coffee at all, and I never drink espresso ^^; That stuff scares me. A regular tea with a splash of milk is normally enough to wake me up, and coffee tends to... ehh. Good thing Miles stayed out, then. It took a couple minutes for it to kick in, but when it did... wow. I don't think Sonic, Scourge or I had ever seen him in such a good mood. Or so chatty, hyper and borderline manic. He was pretty much shepherding Jei around by her shoulders, asking where they were going to go to next, and then marching off ahead like he was on an adventure quest not in a shopping mall. He was just... really happy. Never. Seen. That. Before. But hey, it was a good thing. Oh, and apparently Jei has promised him that when she and I get our own boat that we keep out in the Florida marina where we'll live when I emigrate to the States (pipedream I know, but her grandparents DID own a yacht!), he can have this really expensive espresso machine that he saw (it was, like, £600 >_>) and it'll be on the boat. Okay. Everyone is happy.

He's also got his mind set on getting a really nice fountain pen, and Jei said maybe she'll get him one for his birthday, which he said was unnecessary, but she'll probably do it anyway. Lol, should I be jealous that they're apparently such good friends? :P But it did bring back old - horrid - memories, haha. We had to use fountain pens in school all through middle school and high school. They were SUCH a pain in the butt. The nibs would get bent so easily, and the tiny fibres from the paper would always get caught in the nib and drag tiny lines all across your work, and if the paper was too absorbent then the ink would blot really easily and go right through but if it wasn't then it would take forever to dry and would smudge and of course you never had a fresh cartridge when you needed one and changing it would get ink aaaall over your fingers and argh Miles why the fuck do you want one they are hell.

He had me up at 6:15 yesterday just to drink more coffee, and then he spent the whole morning reading The Picture of Dorian Gray. Good book, btw.

Ugh... more later. Sleep now.

Nando's is really awesome for vegetarian food, isn't it? I've always been surprised by that given it's basically marketed as a chicken place, lol.

Yeah! we were both pleasantly surprised. We also had the hummus and pita bread with peri-peri oil which was equally yummy, and cheesecake/carrot cake respectively for dessert. It was all really REALLY good :D

Wow, my phone loves taking me to the wrong journals on my F-list a lot X-x.

My sister loves Nando's and she's a vegetarian herself. Never personally been myself but would love to try it. There's one in Cardiff... technically two if you count the one in Cardiff Bay. Maybe I'll get to go there one day. My one friend wants me to try Ruby Tuesday in Cardiff at some point as well.

Miles loves Espresso, I take it? XD

Also, I apologise if this looks sloppy. Still getting used to the keyboard on my new phone. Fingers keep slipping and I type words wrong. Alternatively, I unintentionally double space, lol. Remind me to send you my new number, I keep forgetting.

You should definitely try Nando's! I'd never had it before, either, so it was a really nice surprise to find how good they are.

Miles LOVES espresso. Maybe even more than vodka ("Blasphemy!", he says). I have had more coffee this past week than in my entire life total, I think @_@

Oh! Yeah, send me your new number, that would be great (:
