Yes, I know this song is about government 'Greed' (or, more obviously, a certain 'G' Dubya), but for that one verse I am convinced that Trent Reznor is channelling Scourge. The sneer in his voice, the mockery, that almost sexual purr (especially on the second line). I can just picture him standing behind his target with his hands on their shoulders, sneering acidically into their ear~ It makes me shiver and the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Ahahaha ♥ Man, I get my kicks from the weirdest things >_>;;

Anyway, I have a phone interview tomorrow for a potential business to business sales job. It pays £15,000 p/a plus commission, and seems a lot more professional than the cold-calling shmucks at home during their tea-time one I got before. If I get it, I start Monday. *shrug* Here's hoping, I guess!

I'm not usually attracted to power... in fact, it isn't even really Scourge's power that makes me 'mrr~' over him. It's his arrogance. Of course, if he didn't have the power to back up his arrogance, he'd just be lame. A poser. He IS pretty damn powerful... but it's the swagger that makes him. He KNOWS he's hot stuff, and he DARES anyone to challenge him *Licks lips*

When I had vivid dreams of Master, fuck. He just struts. Oozes so much ego it was overwhelming. So I absolutely know EXACTLY what you're talking about - and why it took Scourge to attract me to your universe in the first place. Power + ego = Hellmaster. I understand why you get all swoon-y. :3
It's also why Miles has my respect.. he challenges that power. A bit like Lina Inverse does. Weaker, but capable of exceeding that power with wits.
And since it's become somewhat apparent lately that the "power" types are compatible with my energies, I just seem to understand myself more and more.

While I can definitely see myself defending myself and my loved ones against Scourge should he actively threaten me/them, I can't imagine that I'd ever dare to actively CHALLENGE him x.o I think one would have to be a little insane to do so (sorry Miles :P). Then again, you do have a point and maybe I would just swoon x.o Then Jei would be very unhappy XD Damn you, Scourge! His ego is a weapon all by itself.

That song never really worked for Scourge to me. Too angsty. Guy just wants to fuck because he's so broken and lost and self-loathing to find completion any other way XD; Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that track. But it doesn't reek of ego the way a Scourge-y song should. More desperation and inner-turmoil than attitude.
