Commission + SoS stuffs

flyboy_foxCarrie finished her commission for me today, yay! It's so awesome, I have to show it off.
Under a cut for size, even though I already shrunk it by 50% o.o She gave me the pic at full resolution so I can do what I like with it ♥
She draws Scourge all the time, which is why I commissioned her, but she'd never drawn Miles before. So, props to her, 'cause they both look GREAT!
I love the neon sign in the background. It probably says 'COLA' or something, but with the red swirly border that kinda looks like an 'S', maybe it says 'SCOURGE' XDD 'Cause Scourge owns everything, yeah. I want his jacket. Jei has a leather jacket with flames on the arms that's kinda reminicent XD SO COOL.
But yeah! Awesome pic is awesome. Thanks so much, Carrie!!
In other news, I finally booked a hotel room for Jei and I for Summer of Sonic. Given that 400+ people have already registered for the event, I'm amazed that the hotel we wanted had any rooms left! It's the hotel where the majority of fans wanna be - Dreadknux is there I think, and Stiv, and a bunch of other really cool people. It's quite literally right across the green from the Pavilion (SoS '10 venue). I think the only reason I got a room is because I thought to call up. The site for the hotel (the Grantly, if anyone cares) shows no rooms left at all. I called up, though, and they still had a single. It'll be a bit of a squeeze, since the singles really do seem to be kinda small, but Jei and I will manage. I fully expect to be turfed out of bed in the middle of the night for either kicking or rolling on top of her XD Even in our lovely queen-size at home I always seem to end up squishing her ^^; But yeah, hotel! Yay! Only £90 altogether for the two of us for two nights - MUCH better than the £119 PER NIGHT that the nearby Hilton wants. Haha, yeah right. That's like a week and a half of my apartment's rent for two nights in a 'luxury' bed? Oh yeah, and the Grantly's price includes breakfast, too! SCORE!
So yeah, things are looking up a bit. It's not too much longer (less than a week) 'til I'll see my mum and have some human company after a loooong 2 months. Jei is currently in Elmira, NY, visiting her grandparents there. Her grandma is having an operation on her knee, so they needed to go be with her. It meant that Jei couldn't come home earlier like we'd hoped, but of course that comes first, and I'll be seeing her in less than two weeks now anyhow (holy crap, SoS is two weeks away? Shiiiiit, stuff needs to get done!!).
Speaking, again, of SoS - if anyone is coming, PLEASE stop by and say hi to me at the comics/cartoons table! SoS '10 is going to be EPIC, guys. Consequences will never be the same. HABEEB IT.
