More Steampunk Ramblings!

flyboy_foxSo, I was doing my daily trawl of Yahoo.co.uk news, when I stumbled across this, regarding the creation of a very British superhero, via Glenn Dakin's "Candle Man" books:

In particular, this paragraph caught my eye.

That sounds deliciously steampunk, I thought. But the term wasn't used even once in the entire article. So I looked up the author's page, and sure enough!

Consider my interest peaked! Sure, I know that it's a children's book series, aimed at kids and teens, but to be honest... a lot of the books I love are written 'for kids'. I read 'grown-up' stuff too - a great deal of it - but sometimes kids' adventures are the best escape of all. I'd like to give this trilogy a try.
