LJ is making even more changes, by the look of it. Remember that petition I linked to a couple posts back? Go back there and read the edit :\

In a nutshell, looks like SixApart are planning to make LJ more kids/teenybopper oriented, and start a new blogging site for adults, called Vox.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, guys... gah!! I _like_ how people of all ages coexist on LJ... I don't wanna be on a 'child-friendly' kiddy little site, nor do I want to be on a 'mature' blogging site for 'adults'. What the hell is wrong with just leaving LJ the way it is?! >/

So yeah, if you agree and haven't signed yet, I suggest doing that now :P

With leaving it how it is? I dunno. Usually the whole "customize it the way you want" works fine for letting people epxress themselves. If they want to look professional and 'mature,' they can. Don't need the damned executives deciding for them.

It won't be long before LJ goes the way of MTV, and many of us go the way of somewhere else. Bleh =/

All? :P I've only talked about LJ a couple times, and the one before this one certainly wasn't 'anti'-LJ. I said anyone bashing LJ was an idiot. But LJ is important to me (and with 100+ pages of people signing, obviously important to others :P) so I wanted to get the word out XD Eh.

Actually, no one's saying that at all. But almost 600 _pages_ of signatures on that petition does show a level of discontent. You don't use your LJ much, therefore you're not bothered. Fair enough. I, however, use mine a lot... I post often, have made most of my online friends through it, maintain 4 LJ communities... it's a big thing to me if they change the site to aim it more at little kids and move the adults over to a new service where we'd have to start over. No one's forcing you to sign the petition, therefore there's no need to get all sarky over those of us who DO feel strongly about it.
