Do you guys remember when I won a hundred and something pounds on Gala Bingo's website a while back?

Well, I hadn't been on it again since until today, when I randomly decided to play a quick game again like before while I waited for Jei to arrived.

I won £217 o.o

Holy crap XD I'm like... the luckiest person ever or something. Two hundred quid, yippee!

It's gambling, yes, but I've only spent a small amount on it. Like buying a lotto ticket. I've played there twice ever, and both times won over £100 ^^;

Although a pet peeve of mine is those who go and tell the whole world about their windfall, spraying a bottle of champagne in front of the worlds media. They are letting themselves in for getting harassed by any old Tom, Dick and Harry asking for money. Not saying that 200 quid is going to merit that, so you should be safe.

Eh, I'm just happy about it so I'm posting it in my LJ. I'd been having money worries lately, so I just had to share my relief and happiness. I'm hardly screaming it out on TV :P Just blogging it in my LJ. Sorry if it annoys you.

No biggie. It's my opinion. I just think it's a bit uncouth to talk about money that way. That's the way I always think for quite some time. I was brought up that way. Several years ago when my dad and his workmate won around £2,000+ on the Pools, I was told to keep my mouth shut, and you can see the sense in their logic. If you go round telling everyone you won a thousand quid, you could burgled or lose friends.

I may be an adult now and have mobile phones and the internet at my disposal but basically if I won big, no-one would be able to tell, apart from me being more generous to my friends and getting them gifts more often than I do now. Other than that, nothing would have appeared to have changed.

Please don't take this personally Flyboy. It's a nice little lump-sum in these hard times and I commend you for those wins. Sorry if I annoyed you.

Eh, £200 is a small amount anyway, like you said before XD No one's gonna think I'm loaded now. I'm not bragging, I'm just using my LJ to post about how I feel really lucky. Sorry if that's 'uncouth', but hey, isn't my LJ for sharing my life and feelings? :P

Yipes srs Bowie face! XD You know, I totally get what you're saying about being tight lipped about winning huge sums of money... but £200? And a post on LJ? Seems like a totally normal and reasonable reaction to that kinda winning.

And as a lil anecdote, my dad won an ATV and about two grand a while back and he told everybody XD no one came banging down our door or felt slighted in the least. Of course people feel jealous, but everyone stumbles upon bouts of good luck at some point and I wouldn't begrudge! Different strokes, I guess.

Still,over £200 thats a lot of money, I earn less than that in a week, well done on the winning :D
