Oh my. Color me COMPLETELY disillusioned ._. SHADOW is on the latest piece of cover art for the Next Gen game. Sonic, Shadow, and the nameless recolor who supposedly announces Sonic's the 'Iblis Trigger' x.xThis looks suspiciously like it's gonna be some kind of 'mystic trio of hedgehogs' type of thing... some kind of ancient prophecy? All I can say is... the only 'mystic trio' in my books is the original trio... Sonic/Tails/Knuckles. They were the first. If any three should be tied together by some ancient prophecy, it should be them! And yes, I am speculating wildly... no need to point this out to me. It just pisses me off BEYOND comparisson to see Shadow YET AGAIN next to Sonic on the box-art (even if it's only promo art)... and this time in a game that I thought was a back-to-basics game following the original Sonic the Hedgehog formula of Sonic vs Robotnik, without ANY of the subsequent characters... no Tails, no Knuckles, and CERTAINLY no Shadow -.-; There is no escape from Shadow...

Eh, you can thank his army of brainless fans. Lord knows all the complaints SEGA would get if Shadow wasn't in a Sonic game.

But he's not just IN it... looks like he's pretty much a central character, too! Arg. ... I wonder if I have anger management issues ^^; I doubt it's healthy to get this annoyed/livid over videogames *sweatdrop*

Sonic/Tails/Knuckles were indeed the first to be together. Wouldn't, hell it doesn't, make sense to make Shadow a main character; or central character now.

Yes, I'm starting to like Shadow a bit, but I like the old-school Sonic games the best with the orignianl three characters. I don't mind a game here and there with Shadow, but now stick him in every one? That's a bit much. He wasn't even introduced until much later in the Sonic series. >.< Damn you, Sega. Bring back Sonic the way how he used to be!

Sega seem to be listening to a very select fanbase... namely the most recent one. Kids who never played the older games and only know the newer stuff. Those kids don't see how much the fandom has changed... so... it doesn't bother them :\
