Yay, I voted! Local and European. The European ballot was as long as my arm... maybe longer. Had to fold it five times and use my fingers to poke it into the ballot box. In contrast to the local ballot with three choices on a slip barely any bigger than a credit card XD

I'm glad I played my part! I ticked a couple of boxes and now I feel like a productive and savvy member of society :D;

(Also I really liked how 99% of the slips we've had through our door are focussed on 'country' issues... local trade and farming mostly XD MOO.)

Not exactly... We vote for which MPs from our country will take seats in the European Parliment. The EU has its own parliament consisting of elected representatives from its member states.

We are a member of the EU already. We just haven't converted to the Euro :P
