Party Political Broadcast!
Jun. 4th, 2009 02:17 amLocal elections are tomorrow. Our local polling station is the village coronation hall. My mum and I will walk down there tomorrow when she gets back from work so we can vote. It will be my first time voting in local elections, although I've voted previously in the general election. The party I support is in a good position to take back a little bit of power in the South West, and so I hope it goes that way. Good luck to them!
(Good gracious, Flyboy actually knows enough about politics to make an educated vote! - Granted, I only started to take a real interest a few years ago, mainly after moving away from London.)
I'd also like to see my local MP get kicked to the curb. Slimy git.
I dunno how these parties can afford the vast amount of propaganda they've been consistently jamming through my letterbox. Every day there's another two or three leaflets... Tories, Labour, Lib Dem, Independent... I hear ya, guys, you want me to vote for you! Start by wasting less paper D: Do you really need to be using colour glossy paper? Yes it looks shiny but... it's just gonna end up in landfills 'cause most people don't bother to recycle and I'm not even sure that you CAN recycle that stuff.
I almost went into politics once. True story! *Shudder*

Thanks for so many clicks, everyone! :) I try to click back when I remember... feel free to poke me, but I'll try to be better about it! (I forget to post my eggs too, so no wonder they don't hatch/mature fast XD)

Date: 2009-06-04 02:50 am (UTC)I actually typed "VOTE VOTE VORE" first and then realized in horror what I just inadvertently advocated. This needs a new temporary icon.
Take it away, George!

Date: 2009-06-04 08:39 am (UTC)Favre: I'm glad to hear about their positions, but couldn't most of them been printed on ONE card instead of which other politicians and/or groups back them?
McGee: Ooh! We can help kick someone out of office!
Jamie: We aren't in Koji's district, Uncle.
McGee: What's a little gerrymandering amongst friends?
