Jei unexpectedly came over on Thursday and stayed for the weekend. It was awesome. She's back in Bournemouth now, but she's coming back next weekend, and then after a couple weeks she'll be back again for a few days before she goes home to the US for the summer. Then in September, we move into our rented apartment together in Bournemouth ^^

Today was the Mayfair at the Coronation Hall in the village :) It was pretty good. It's only a small-sized event, but there were a lot of people. The local Army cadets and the local Morris Men performed live demonstrations (and the cadets suddenly started dancing to the Macarena at the end of theirs, lolwut XD). There was a tombola that I had absolutely rubbish luck on, and a bric-a-brac hall, and sandwiches and cakes in the main hall.

I picked up a couple of cool things in the bric-a-brac. I got a mechanical treadmill, which is up in my room right now. It was only £20, I guess 'cause it was second hand and not electric/mains-operated. It has a timer and also a mile-o-meter, so you can see how fast you're walking/running and how many miles you've run. I'm aiming to do about 3 miles per day to start with, and then go up to 5 when I'm ready. I really like it :3

I also found a REALLY awesome wrist-watch for 50p. It's very old-fashioned-looking, with roman numerals and a (faux) gold trim, but the most awesome part is that you can see the cogs and gears inside, behind the face. It looks really cool. I need to get a battery for it. Then, I can wear my futuristic binary watch on my left hand, and this one on my right, and GO BACK TO THE FUTUUUUURE!

Picked up a couple other little nick-nacks that were cool and only 20p or so each, and my mom bought a really nice glass and mahogany coffee table for the lounge. Only £5... bargain!

Jei has also left me with a VERY scary Mario figurine she got from a Kinder Surprise egg. It's like WEEGEE only it's MARIO :(

I haven't been online much recently. This must change. I'M BACK, FOO!

Edit: Eggs! :)

Thank you!

Yeah, the Macarena cadets was a major lolwut moment ^^; They were all super-serious, marching up and down while the cadet leader barked orders. Then suddenly the Macarena came on over the speakers and they all started dancing. Odd, but very very funny.

I love the Mayfair. It's one of the reasons that I love living in a tiny rural backwater village :)

I guess the macarena is funny in Britain, too.O_o

Heh, wow, creepy tiny staring Mario fig, didn't see that coming.XD

In retrospect, the watch definitely seems like the sort of thing you'd go for...You seem like the type who really likes to see how the little details of how things work.

Maybe if you practice enough on the treadmill, you'll break the sound barrier and turn blue.XD

The Macarena is ALWAYS funny XD; Heeeey~ Macarena!

The Mario miniature is demonic, I tell you. THOSE EYES.

Mm-hmm, I love seeing the inards of techy things XD That's why my current watch is a binary watch where you can see the computer chip circuit board behind the LEDs. And now I have an old-school cogs and gears watch to compliment it!

Haha, so far I've only reached 20mph on the treadmill. I'm not sure I'll be breaking the sound barrier (or turning blue) any time soon ^^;;

EYES THAT STARE INTO YOUR SOUL.

New watch, old watch.:D Heh heh, I bet you'd even like a PC that had a transparent outer shell.^_~

20mph still sounds really fast, though, congrats Jai.:D

Make sure you choose to hatch the eggs that are at full. They won't hatch unless you tell it to. :D
