I really need to de-scale the kettle in my dorm. My mom says white vinegar is really effective, and it's cheaper than specific de-scaler tablets, so I guess I'll pick some up from ASDA next time I'm there and do that. My room will smell of vinegar for a few hours, but hey. I think that's a small price to pay for being able to drink my (de-caff) tea without crunchy bits at the bottom D:

Friday 30th Jan simply CAN'T come quickly enough. I know it's only 2 weeks away, but SHEESH. Could the time GO any slower?! I've never had a tattoo done before, but strangely I'm not at all nervous. I'm just incredibly excited and happy about it. The tattooist said that it'll probably take about two hours, maybe a little more. It's pretty big - takes up most of my lower back. It's going to set me back at least £120 (including the £40 deposit I've already paid), but it'll be so worth it. Hurry up, tiiiime! ^^

As for today; in about 45 minutes I'm off to see Sue, who's my mentor at Uni. Hopefully with her help, and Ruthi (my ALN advisor) tomorrow, I'll finally be able to get my course back on track. I'm hoping that I can switch over to Interactive Media Production this term, rather than having to wait another whole year to reapply, but we'll see.

I'm two weeks into this strict dairy/gluten-free diet and it's actually coming along easier than I thought. There's still plenty of stuff that I can eat, and I've actually managed to cook up some pretty tasty meals. I'm pretty sure that it's already having a positive impact on my health, too. I'm pondering whether I should buy some bathroom scales so that I can actively measure my progress, weight-wise, but I'm not sure whether that would end up being more of a deterrent than anything else. It doesn't really matter, I guess, 'cause I don't actually need to lose weight. I'd just like to lose a little, just to get myself really nice and fit, y'know? Also, if I keep up exercising (yay step-machine!), I could tone up some muscle too, which might not decrease my mass any, but I'd be more toned :P I'm sure friends mean well when they tell me I don't need to diet or lose weight because I'm already slim, but I really do want to shape up a little and besides, that's not even really the main point of this 'diet'. It's an overall health thing. I would just feel better. I don't need a perfect body, but I know I can be better than this.

Well, I'd better get going. See ya later LJ et al! Bye~ee! :)

Hey bro. :)

Vinegar indeed works, I did it too in the past. Got my kettle nice and clean. But these days I don't even have this problem, because I filter the water before filling my kettle with it. BRITA filters are quite awesome. They remove limescales, chlorine and heavy metals from water which makes it cleaner and better. Aaaand you'll never see the crunchy bits in the kettle again. I can no longer live without this stuff - this city has such filthy tap water... :P

Glad to hear you live somehow on this diet. I see this is a chance for you to get some new cooking skills, making these meals that diary/gluten-free meals. :D And hey, exercise is a good idea always. Keep fit. :)

PS. See me on messenger if you can.

Looking forward to hearing the reports on the new ink (and seeing the pictures! Since it's on your back, take a camera along so the artist can get snaps afterwards, maybe?). It sounds like it's going to be sweet. There's no real reason to be nervous-- the experience really isn't that bad, and you'll come out of there feeling buzzed and on top of the world, most likely. I've had two-hour tattoos before and, sure, by the end of those two hours you do feel relieved to get out of the chair, but it's perfectly doable. And worth it, for a symbol that clearly inspires you and is intertwined with you on such a deep level.

hey

Glad things are improving for you on the eating and drinking front.^_^

Sounds even better that you're not nervous anymore about getting your tattoo...I bet you'll be absolutely ecstatic once you finally get it.^^

I guess this is a really weird thing for me to be saying considering we both have our respective significant others, but...I almost creamed myself thinking of you with toned muscles.O_o You've already got this handsome bishounen thing going, so more muscle mass would definitely add to that.

Yes, I have a Brita water filter at home :) I would never let the kettle get like this if it were my own, but sadly it is the kettle that came with the dorm and so it is already limescale encrusted, thanks to all the students who lived here before me :P Ah well, I shall clean it out all nice and shiny and not let it get that way again ^^

Thanks for the pep-talk! :) Haven't heard from you in a while! I know that the tattooist at this place takes a pic of every single tattoo she does, with a copy for the client, so... I should have one on the day ^^ I'll bring along my own camera, too, just to be sure.

Hi, who is this? :) Not a Sontails tattoo exactly... it's two tails on my lower back.

Haha, I doubt I would ever be super-toned, and I know I'll never be 'muscular', but it would be nice to at least have a little bit of definition, y'know? And yeah, ecstatic about the tattoo is a serious understatement! ;)

eeeewwww x.x; is limescale crunchy? That's would make me sick... seriously! Whenever I find something crunchy where it's not supposed to be it makes me nauseous! But then... I'm weird about the things I injest.

You're doing so awesomely on your diet! It really is surprising how much stuff there really is available to you, even if it is a little more expensive. n.n I'm proud of you!
