*Yawn* Is it that time again, already? Christmas is drawing to a close, and we're heading into that nowhere week between Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Christmas builds up for so long, but then it's just... gone. I don't mean that in any emo kind of sense. I'm not sad. Just perplexed as to how it managed to arrive and leave quite so quickly, with me barely noticing.
I had rather a subdued Christmas this year. Low maintenance, quiet, un-fussy. Part of it was due to the fact that I've had two migraines within the space of four days, with the latest one assaulting me in the early hours of this morning. So I spent most of the morning sipping water and painkillers and not feeling too festive. I felt better as the day went on, though, and my mom made a REALLY delicious Christmas roast for lunch, with ALL the trimmings. Mm-mm!
We were all on a low budget this year, but I still managed to get a few gifts. My mom got me the retro Sonic Wii and DS bags from GAME and Sonic Unleashed for PS2 (it was only about a tenner, yay!), and my brother got me Yoshi's Island DS. I already have that game, but I guess I can trade it in... it was still a nice gift. I got my brother a body spray he wanted, and I got my mom some dark chocolate from Ecuador and two CDs of Gregorian Monks' Chants.
I watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special. It was a bit of a let-down, to be honest. It was fun, but I guess I was expecting something really unexpected or epic and it came across more as filler. Not worth waiting so long for, really. Ah well.
Merry Christmas everyone, anyway :) I hope you all had a good one!

Oh, and thanks for the card, also. My apologies for not getting one through to you on time. D:

Date: 2008-12-25 07:52 pm (UTC)In all seriousness, I think you'll really like Sonic Unleashed, Jai.^_^ It's a big move back towards light-hearted Sonic storytelling. And though I thought the PS2/Wii version would be inferior to the 360/PS3 version, it's really a different game in and of itself, with its own unique content.
Glad you had good food too.^^ Hope whatever sickness you have goes away fast.^^;;
And, uh...hope the body spray attracts the chicks...dudes...whatever your bro is in too.XD

Most have out-of-office-autoreply-happy-holidays-see-you-5th-Jan ))) We'll have day on leave tomorrow.
