Edit: Also, why, when I have to go in for an hour - just one hour - does the weather decide that now would be a GREAT time to tip it down mercilessly. When I have no umbrella :( Fate mocks me! *Emo*

I'd say Jei's probably more than likely right on this one...It seems like a pretty routine run of the mill thing that you should come through all right on...

On the other hand...I believe that, for you own good, you should stop using the "Emo" label to describe yourself, Jai.

I mean...I know you don't want to wallow in self-pity, or to be ungrateful for the good things you have in life. I can understand that.

But there's being thankful, and then there's hating yourself. The thing is, you have this tendency at times to hide what bothering you, because you're afraid either of what others may think, or that you'll somehow become a burden to your friends.

I know from my own personal experience that bottling up negative emotions rather than addressing them can have disastrous results. They'll come back to haunt you sooner or later. I don't want you to stop trying to reach your goals Jai, but I don't want you to make the same mistakes I made.

As much as I wish it weren't so, we don't live in a world where we can solve all our problems with a little confidence and a properly timed spin dash. You're only human Jai, and in light of that, you should give yourself a moment every now and then to let yourself have a good cry, and/or tell someone about what ails you.

Speaking for me personally, my positive perception of you is not based on you being Happy All The Time. Given that Jei is far closer to you than I, I highly doubt that hers is, either.

Eh... I know I'm not really emo. I just use the term to make light of things and kinda self-mockingly whenever I complain about stuff. Like "oh look, there goes Jai whining about stupid things again..." XD
