*Falls off the earth, aieeee!*
Sep. 4th, 2008 05:27 pmGah, there just isn't enough time!! What do we do? How do we make it woooork?
See.
Jei has International Orientation at her Uni (which is nextdoor to mine) on Sept 17th - 19th. She is also supposed to move into her accommodation by then.
I can't move into MY accommodation until the 20th.
So, Jei needs to be there on the 17th, and I CAN'T move in to mine until the 20th.
And it's three hours away by car, and about 4 1/2 by train.
How do we work it? D:
My mom is willing to drive us there (if we can get all our stuff plus us in the car), but... either she misses orientation as has to get special permission to move in a day late, OR I go with her on the 17th and attempt to squeeze all my stuff into her room and sleep in my suitcase on her floor for 3 days and wander around Bournemouth while she's at Orientation (which goes on 'til like 9pm at night XD).
Or my mom and I do two journeys; go with Jei on the 17th, then I go on the 20th... but that's really not fair on my mom (and to be honest, I don't really wanna do that journey AGAIN).
THERE IS NO EASY SOLUTION.
Right now I'm thinking I'll probably be going with the living-in-my-suitcase-in-her-room-and-wandering-around-aimlessly-for-three-days thing myself, although that means getting all my stuff to MY accommodation (15 mins away) and moving in without my mom's help.
UNLESS, Jei and I go by train on the 17th with small bags (enough for the three days), and then my mom brings the car with all the rest of our stuff on the 20th n.n;; That could work. I'll still be sleeping in a suitcase and being basically homeless and by myself in Bournemouth for three days while Jei-ji's at Orientation all day... buuuut... it solves the moving-huge-amounts-of-stuff-around dilemma, I guess? ^^;
