Whoo... o.o Last night's storm was magnificent. And I mean that in an "ARGH TERRIFYING" kind of way. The wind battered our house all night, howling and screeching like a horror novel banshee whilst throwing rain at the windows with such force that it sounded like hail. Then, sometime during the night, it ripped the back door out of the conservatory and carried it several feet before smashing it down in the garden. Glass everywhere. Door ripped clean off its hinges. The wind also managed to bring a tile off the roof, which hit the grass with a javelin-like angle and enough force to lodge it into the earth, sticking up at an angle, when we found it. Roof-edge guttering was also dislodged and brought down. Here's hoping our insurance covers all of this O.o

In lighter news, I had a true 'aspie' moment yesterday when I was walking to the post office to buy envelopes for some stuff I'm selling on eBay. It was raining and I was walking along in it when a lady pulled up in her car and wound the window down to ask me something. Now, let me emphasize first that I am TERRIBLE with faces, and I have trouble recognizing even people I've known for years. I thought she was my neighbor, who often stops to give me a lift down to the post office if she's passing by. Of course, I have no idea what her car looks like either, even though we've been neighbors for almost a year and I frequently observe her arriving home. So I assumed it was her. I couldn't make out what she was saying, but I assumed it was offering me a lift, as she was pointing down the road, and so I got into the back of her car. It was only when she then asked in a faltering voice how she could get back onto the M5 that I realized I had just climbed into a complete stranger's car who was merely asking me for directions 'cause she was lost XD; Doy!

It's times like that when I realize that I'm probably a lot more Aspie than I'd like to admit ^^;

Edit: Holy shit :\ My mom just received a letter from the Bailiffs saying they'll be coming here next week to remove items from our house to pay off the £1,500+ debt my dad hasn't paid off for his council flat in Sutton. My dad is... he's a total liability and he never ceases to put us through this kind of crap :D

Oh, man x_x; That is so bunk. It's a shame they have to come and take stuff from your house just because of debt your dad ran up. Wish I could say more, but it's not the sort of thing you can really go "Well, cheer up!" to someone for. Just... hope it's not TOO bad or anything. I'm not sure exactly how it works with Bailiffs, but I know whatever they take, it'll be awful, just losing stuff over something like that. *hugs* :(

The storms are AWFUL at the moment, aren't they? We've been getting the same thing. Our fence blew down again just the other day, and I think the tree in our back garden is about to topple. It's got us worrying, because it's been there for years and it's bigger than the building, and because of how it's positioned, it's gonna cause a fair bit of damage no matter which way it topples. It'll either crash right into the windows (really hoping it won't go that way), knock the fence down, or go through the shed ._. We've phoned the council about it SO many times already and they've yet to send out anyone to do something about it. If the weather forecast is anything to go by, the winds are going to get worse today, too.

I've been through some pretty nasty storms myself. One of which that happened a few years pulled my neighbor's garage off its foundation and pushed it into the pool next to it. Glad you're okay, though.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope things don't get too terrible for you, Jai :(

Oh, and I apologize in advance for being a sort-of lurker. I've pretty much been here for well over a year but only started posting recently. It just sickens me though to see a nice guy like you go through crap like that. Anywho... catchya later.^^

As far as I understand you don't live with your father, so why do you need to pay for his debt?

Yeah, I've done things like that before ^^; I'm terminally scatterbrained sometimes XD

Though...sorry to hear about that debt! Sucks that YOU have to lose stuff from HIS debt especially...
