Noooooo subject

flyboy_foxI went into town today and got some clothes for my new job. A couple of nice sweaters, a couple of pairs of smart trousers, some nice black shoes, and a coat. I realize now how lacking in 'smart' attire my wardrobe was before ^^; I'm very much a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy. All my clothes are very casual. Not 'falling apart' casual or 'stained and unwashed' casual. Ew. I'm very particular about having clean and unwrinkled clothes, and if they start to wear out I'll replace them. But still, I have almost no smart clothes. My only shoes were my sneakers until today n.n; Woo, smart clothes!
I also helped my mom to choose a SatNav for my brother's car. I think Garmin is better than TomTom, personally, and so we bought a Garmin. My product-training at my short-lived PC World job came in handy after all ^^;
Subway sandwich for lunch! Chicken, bacon and cheese with ranch dressing on honey oat. To die for. Seriously ;_; My favorite sandwich in the universe. I could easily eat another one RIGHT NOW. Even though it's 10:30 and I already had Sunday dinner and I should be in bed :P
Bah, I wish I didn't have this cold. It's not so bad, but my throat's sore and I'm coughing and sniffling a little, bleh. I'll live, but I don't much fancy standing in the cold at the station for a half hour on a crowded windy platform possibly in the rain, when I feel all sickly :P Never mind, eh? At least the Fujitsu building is literally a three minute walk from the station. It's all red brick and green glass and very spacious and lush. I don't really feel worthy to be working in such a swanky joint O.o
Leon! (If you're even still around O.o) You live somewhat near Temple Meads, right? You should drop by sometime ^^
Right, time to curl up and snooze now. I'm feeling strangely calm about starting work tomorrow... probably means the panic will hit in the morning XD 'Night all!
Edit: Oh yeah! I forgot to mention... Jei's been planning on making some Sonic plushies, and we were brainstorming what to make. Originally she was gonna start with Super Sonic, but then we decided it would be uber-cool if she made a set of SatAM plushies, so I think that's what she's going to do. For those who don't know, Jei is incredibly talented and makes excellent plushies... so this is going to be SO dang cool. There'll be Sally, and Bunnie, and Rotor, and Antoine... even Uncle Chuck! (Complete with chilidog stand and removable velcro-stripped chilidog?) I'm excited :) I hope she can get the materials to get started soon! Sally's up first! ^^

Date: 2007-11-11 11:12 pm (UTC)When I was younger, I wasn't quite that interested in Sally because she didn't really have anything in the way of weaponry or special abilities, but these days I have a much greater appreciation for her personality as portrayed in the SatAM show...strong and independent, yet kind and nuturing, and a sort of "big sister figure" to Sonic and Tails. Sure, she went kinda crazy in recent Archie issues, but she still stands out to me as an example of a very likable character I can look up to.
