~I think you must be good for me...~
Nov. 8th, 2007 02:44 pmHmm. Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping that I'd get at least a couple of comments on my last LJ post other than only Jei. It's always nice to get a few comments when you're feeling a little down... but eh, it's no one's fault. Comments are an added bonus, not the reason for writing my posts. I think that last post was maybe a little bit "tl;dr", perhaps.
Anyhow, I spent the morning at the PDSA charity shop volunteering out back, tagging and pricing second-hand clothes. It took me an absurd amount of time to learn the 'trick' to using the tagging gun correctly ("Why? Why isn't it working?? What am I doing wroooong??"), but I eventually got the hang of it, and two hours pretty much flew by. Going back on Monday afternoon to help out some more.
So, tomorrow I have that interview at the Fujitsu building. I need to look up train times. And find some smart-ish clothes. And get my papers together, 'cause I have an appointment at the Job Centre first. It's a little annoying... the Job Centre thing is at 9am and the interview is at 2pm. So after the Job Centre, I'll have to hang around in town for maybe three hours before I can get my train. But that's okay. It's just so coooold and I'd rather be in bed XD
Icon explanation: I just thought the pic was really cute. They don't look angry or determined to escape... they just look worried and a little scared n.n; Jei said they look so much like little kids, and I think that's why I like it. I can't help that AoStH Sonic is the most aaaawesome Sonic ever ._.; He just is and I love him to death.
I don't like all the early Xmas stuff that's been filling the shops since September... but I'll pass an exception for Greggs Bakery and their DELICIOUS Christmas Pasties. I've been pigging out on Greggs' pasties and cookies in town... but... I can't help it, they're sooooo good. And I was running late this morning and didn't get breakfast... so... it counts as breakfast AND lunch, so there :P
The taxi back home cost £8.30. Usually I'd get the bus, but they're only hourly and I didn't want to stand around for 45 minutes 'til the next one. Woodspring Taxis usually cost about £5.60 but I used a different firm today. Yeesh. Last time I'm doing THAT!
Bah, I'm tl;dr'ing again XD I can't help it. I'm not good at short and concise ;_; I'll shut up now ^^;;

Date: 2007-11-08 03:53 pm (UTC)I'm not real keen on seeing the Xmas stuff so early either. Used to, Xmas stuff until about about a week after Halloween. Nowadays, I think if it weren't for Halloween, you would see Xmas all year long.

Date: 2007-11-08 06:26 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's crazy how early the Xmas stuff starts :\ I really wish they'd wait at least until November. If they were starting now, I wouldn't mind so much... but they've been at it since September x.x

Date: 2007-11-08 03:55 pm (UTC)I really don't like early Xmas stuff myself, but my country's totally into it... since October, even. DX
I'm not good at shot and concise either~ anyway, don't worry about it~ ♥

Date: 2007-11-08 10:40 pm (UTC)But...you really do give off an air of being a truly special and unique person. It's not really something I can describe that well in words, it's just kinda how you are.
I'm glad I made you happy.^_^ I'm rather selfish in some ways, but...I'd rather not be, so I'm glad to have helped you. Not in the sense that it's some sort of duty, but...because I've developed a genuine empathy with you, even though I know that we're very different and there's some things we won't see eye to eye on. Your friendship/romance with Jei is one the most beautiful things I've ever seen and reminds me what's truly important to me, deep down.
I really like you a lot...but for a time was afraid that if I said it I might sound like some sort of crazed stalkery loon. But I realize now that I was worrying too much. I'll be just fine if we remain pleasent aquaintances like we are now. I'd even be able to keep on living happily if you declared you no longer wanted to speak to me, even though I'd be sad.
But...maybe if I work at it, we can grow closer. I mean, certainly not like you and Jei are.^_^ But what I'm getting as is...maybe I should stop being so paranoid and apathetic when it comes to making friends.^_^
See? I can ramble too.XD

Date: 2007-11-08 10:49 pm (UTC)I actually wasn't really sure if you liked me at all, to be honest. I kinda thought maybe you didn't, especially with the whole 'different continuities' thing. Although really that shouldn't matter at all.
I wanted to chat with you, but I wasn't sure if you'd want to ^^; I'm horrible at making the first move in friendships.
So I guess maybe we both have similar fears, but I'm glad we've managed to become friends anyhow!

Date: 2007-11-08 11:56 pm (UTC)I might not be able to get on an IM/chat service again until February when I move to a new home.^^;; But I'd love to chat with you whenever I get a chance to.^_^
I guess this may sound a little strange to me, but...to me you're Tails. Even if you're not "my" Tails.^_^ And I've realized that I consider you to be Tails for reasons that are deeper and more meaningful than I'd reailzed. At first, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to like you for who are now, and was just acting on shallow feelings based on what kin identity you claimed. But...I eventually came to respect and relate to your "normal" self in the here and now...and realize that there wasn't really that much of a distinction between your kin idenitity and your normal one...not where it was important. You may not do everything the canon Tails does(Like, oh, fawning over Cosmo and Fiona.XD, but...even if you don't realize it, everything you say do makes me think "Yep...That's Miles." So, after awhile...caring about one aspect of your personality wasn't any different than caring about the other. And you'll always be Tails to me, even if it were somehow proven that in a scientifically/logical/or mystical sense that you weren't, because the only part that truly cared about was that you were him in your heart. And I also realized that I'd still very much want to care about you even if you one day grew uncomfortable thinking of yourself as Miles. Because...somehow I've grown to like you just that much.
So...I feel great, and grateful to you, that we've become better friends now.^_^ I wanna say that...it's great to see someone I've long wanted to meet as a living, breathing person, and not just a dead set of pixels on a monitor.^^

Date: 2007-11-09 07:34 am (UTC)Well, that's what really matters. Who we are now. I really don't see the point in trying to be anything 'more' than that. I guess that's why I don't feel the need to talk about 'kin stuff in my journal much (if at all).
Anyway, it'd be cool to chat on an IM thingy sometime, but until then, via LJ is fine ^^
