Mind-numbing dance-music is all that's keeping me sane during the evils of Guy Fawkes' weekend. Technically it's not the eve itself yet... but being the weekend before, everyone's letting off their fireworks now. And as most of you know, I'm pretty much terrified of fireworks ^^;; For much the same reason that I hate thunderstorms. Sudden loud noise. Ahh! ;_; *cowers under the desk*

'kay, now that I'm done being a big baby... XD; So, what else?

Oh! I got offered a possible job working as an after sales administrator for Bentley. Yes, the INSANELY rich car company that sells cars to INSANELY rich clients for about £100,000 a pop ^^; Suuure, I can just see me now liaising with millionaire drug-dealer clients... man, some of those cars are probably worth more than my house!

I was a little disturbed to learn today that Turkish orchid ice cream bears the literal translation of "fox-testicle ice cream". Apparently due to the tubers of the orchids looking like... er... fox testicles. Can I ask who's checking? O.o (And yeah, I do know that the word "orchid" comes from the Greek "Orchis" that means "testicle". I'm just wondering why fox testicles in the particular instance of the ice cream.)

Aaanyway ^^; I had Chinese food for dinner. Sweet n' sour chicken, black bean and cashew chicken, spring rolls, prawn crackers... yum! Only... now it's all gone and I'm still hungry. Curse you, Chinese food, for making me feel full so quickly and then hungry again within a couple hours! >O

So I tried to figure out why Jei's texts aren't getting to me on my new phone. My customer support says it's on her end, and her customer support says it's on mine... go figure x.x Blah! Useless customer support.

Well, I'm sleepy, so I'm going to bed. 'Night!

Chinese food usually stays with me a while. At this place I frequent, I can eat there around noontime and I won't be hungry again until late evening.

As for the fox testicle ice cream, that's... really disturbing.

There's an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet in town where for £5.99 at lunchtime it really is 'all you can eat'. It's great value! I'm usually full after that. But when I have Chinese at home, I usually get hungry pretty quick aterwards.
