~Rockin' for myse-e-e-e-elf!~
Sep. 2nd, 2007 10:55 pmI am alive :) Just been super-busy lately.
I've been working the warehouse for the past week, helping the merch team get the store ready for opening. Whee! It's actually kinda fun. I like warehouse work. Sure, it's basically just carrying boxes around and sticking tags on things and putting up posters on the display boards, but it's kinda invigorating in a way ^^; Especially disassembling boxes. There's something very therapeutic about slashing the bottom open, flattening the box, and then stamping on it to make sure it'sdead good and flat n.n; Oh yes, and I have my very own blade XD Beware! (I don't have power-tools yet ;_;). Hours are long though. Mostly 9 - 6, but a few 7 and 8am starts too. Doesn't leave much time for anything else. Oh well, I have tomorrow off and then back to work until Saturday. I actually talked to my manager about transferring to the out-of-hours merchandising team, but apparently I'm actually GOOD at sales and they want to keep me there ^^; Bah! I don't wanna sell... I wanna pull boxes apart and use the spiffy PDTs to scan barcodes and build towers out of CD cylinders! >P I dunno... I just feel more like... well... me, when I'm in the warehouse doing that kind of stuff. The only thing that sucked about today was that someone decided to play an entire Oasis CD over the store speaker system. Oasis. I mean really, what the hell? x.o But yeah, I wish I could just do this stuff all the time rather than sales. It's much more the kind of work I enjoy and feel at home doing.
My new chip set fan arrived :D Finally I can fix my computer's annoying overheating-and-freezing problem. ... well, if the broken chip fan wasn't so attached to the bleedin' ASUS motherboard that I'll have to have the whole board removed rather than just the fan :\ I also still need to pick up an SLI bridge for my two NVIDIA cards, because, yanno, it's a bit silly having two perfectly good functional SLI-enabled graphics cards that aren't actually... connected ^^; My computer's pretty souped up for its age... it's gotta be at least 3 years old now, but it has specs to rival the most high-end machines in PC World. But of course, those are pretty generic PCs anyway, so it's not hard to match them. I do want to upgrade at some point though... and now that the Core Duo & Quad are available, I might wanna start with a better processor. My AMD is fine, but I like new stuff XD
I'm gonna be 23 in a little over 6 weeks o.o I can't be almost twenty-three. No, I won't have it! I'm twelve! ::Sulks::
I've been having bad dreams a lot again lately, so Jei sent me a really beautiful dreamcatcher she got for me in Arizona ^_^ She's so sweet... all that crud she was dealing with out there, and she still thought of me. I love you, Jei n.n ::Hugs soooo tight:: Heh, my dreams have been better since. I had a really cool dream the other day, actually o.o It involved trying to (as Tails) save Sonic from, um, some kind of battleship thing surrounded by water, kinda like a live-action videogame. The robots were strong but really stupid. I distracted one by asking it to perform ballet, and then shoving it through a wall to break into the building XD That was really random... then it tried to punch me and I somehow defended myself with a sheet of metal n.n; Then I found out that Sonic wasn't even in there x.o ("Thank you, Tails, but your hedgehog is in anothercastle battleship" x.o Damn). Anyway, a little later and I was outside again with a couple people, including another fox wearing a yellow jumpsuit who I remember not liking very much although it wasn't until I woke up that I realized who she reminded me of XD; But anyway, we were all running along and grindrailing o.o It was awesome. I was pretty good at it. Not as good as that girl, but still, it was a pretty neat feeling to just be able to jump on the rails and slide along at speed then either hop down or jump across to the next rail ^^ It was all very colorful, too, like an amusement park, and it was a lot of fun. Then later, I was asking this guy if he'd make a set of military dogtags for Sonic XD; I dunno. Dogtags are awesome, but why would Sonic want them? Maybe I was gonna slap him with them for making me go rescue him when he wasn't even there x.o My dreams make no sense but they're still fun XD In last night's, I was a virtuoso violin player who could play all these really fast Irish fiddle pieces. Mm-hmm... I love my dream-skills XD
I want baklava. I dunno why. But I want some and it's yummy ;_;
Well, I'm gonna tie this up here ^^ See ya later!

Date: 2007-09-02 11:07 pm (UTC)Man, warehousing, despite the fact it's probably repetitive, would likely interest me infinitely more than sales. I'm a little shy around strangers sometimes, so being behind the scenes would be cool
besides, it sounds fun to have your own knife.And... sounds an interesting dream. You're lucky... most of my dreams I can't remember, and since I have a crazy mind, I bet some of them are quite funny. It's sad, they leave my memory pretty much as soon as I open my eyes. :(
"Thank you, Tails, but your hedgehog is in another
castlebattleship"Something about that line made me laugh... aww... poor Tails, having to go through all of that.
I can't over the fact I'm 18 in November either... o_O

Date: 2007-09-02 11:38 pm (UTC)I seem to remember a lot of my dreams vividly. I guess I'm just lucky that way, having epic story-like dreams and actually remembering them when I wake up ^_^
Warehousing is fun. People underestimate me because I don't look particularly strong, so they're all "Careful, that one's heavy!" or "Hey, I'll take that one, you might not be able to manage it." Then I just go over and pick up it up anyway and carry it off easily XD Not all nerdy-looking people are weaklings!

Date: 2007-09-02 11:38 pm (UTC)Mine are beyond random.
I recently had three dreams at once. Two of my cat Snowy coming over to me soaked from head to toe and me trying to dry her off with a towel (but it did noooothing) and another longer dream of J. Hunter J. But she didn't look like J. O_o; She looked more like RANGIKU from Bleach. Blonde and crud.
And it ended with her and some guy and it was out of character and I just woke up being like, '... the HECK was THAT?!'
BAQLAWA!!! (Arabic fer baklava) MY LOVE. ;_; Want.
That job sounds fun! x3

Date: 2007-09-02 11:42 pm (UTC)Random dreams are the best. Mine usually have some sort of structure and sense to them, at least. Although ballet-dancing robots is a bit WTF ^^;
Hurrah for baklava! We can crave its sweet sticky flaky yummy goodness together ;_;

Date: 2007-09-02 11:44 pm (UTC)xD;; My dreams almost always have loads of craziness or things that make sense only within the dream.
(Even more out of character about the J thing is that now that I've watched her third- second proper- episode, her lackeys' uniforms look VERY familiar. Ugh, I think the guy was one of her lackies. That just makes it even moooore out of character. ;-;)
I have lots of Rockety dreams, though! ^^ They're nuts too, but are fun and anime-styled.

Date: 2007-09-03 11:06 am (UTC)BTW, if you still use XP, I strongly recommend you DON'T get Vista if you want to upgrade, at least not yet. It's not very bad or anything, but the update system has been giving me nightmares...and daymares, lol, a far cry from your pleasant experiences while sleeping

Date: 2007-09-03 11:11 am (UTC)I totally agree about Vista. I'm still running XP, and since XP is going to be supported until 2009, I'll wait a little longer 'til I upgrade OSes.

Date: 2007-09-03 11:24 am (UTC)Wow! Does sound like the dreamcatcher is working! I'm so glad n.n gah... that's one awesome dream though... x.o except for Fiona... and the fact that Sonic wasn't in the castle... er... battleship. XD awww... but that sounds so cool! And the violin one too! n.n
