Oh wow. x.x What the hell is wrong with me? I just won a Sonic doujinshi on eBay. $43 + $16 shipping. The problem? I don't have $59. I have about $29. Guess I'll have to take some of my N64 and GameCube games down to Stock Xchange tomorrow and try to get some cash... then take the cash directly to the bank and pay it in... n.n; And just hope to heck that the seller doesn't mind if I can't pay for a day or so...

Why do I do such stupid things? x.x; Oh well, it's a lesson in life for me... even if I never seem to learn it ^^;

(and before anyone asks... I *have* been staying away from eBay. I just forgot that I'd signed up for email alerts that tell me when certain rare items come up... ;_;)

eBay is scary addictive. We see something and go right after it because we think we'll never see it again. If only we can get these things in real stores :P

It looks good ^^ Looks like Tails is in it a lot, from what I can see. And it's one of the VERY few non-hentai Sonic doujins out there (Sonic doujinshi is rare enough anyway, but CLEAN Sonic doujinshi is a real find! :P)

In Japan, it's legal (they even have special shops for it) to produce and sell doujinshi as long as no profit is claimed. They can only be sold for the same price as the materials it was printed with cost. So, the seller is allowed to claim back the money spent on producing it, but nothing more. (Of course, on eBay, they sell for much higher than that price, heh ^^;)

Copyright laws are just different there, I guess. Because doujinshi is an 'art' form. After all, manga is just licenced doujinshi, and it's such a HUGE economy there. Their copyright laws in general are just different... I mean, people use brand icons for almost anything... think how much stuff has Hello Kitty on it, for instance. They're not so tight with their copyright protection over imagery. But it's still illegal to make money off of it ^^;

This is what I'm worried about when I start to get £100 every month as of my 16th birthday, I'm going to be so scaringly hooked to Ebay, XD Hope mom doesn't mind having to always up the bids on plushies/anything I really want though
