How many times has someone on your friends list posted about something and you were really confused, but you didn't want to ask because you thought you SHOULD know? How many times have you felt 'guilty' asking an LJ friend a question that should be 'obvious'? Well, here's your chance. Even something EXTREMELY basic, like where I live. I'll answer any questions (random or serious), even if you're curious about more than one thing or are new to my friends list.
I'm not sure that there's anything you guys particularly want to know about me ^^; But hey, if there is, about anything at all, just ask! I'm unafraid! >.>; (Personal/fandom/philosophical/ANYTHING).

So... what's your secret? ^^;

Date: 2007-08-17 07:11 am (UTC)The answer is that I'm not really 'nicer' than anyone else, as far as I'm concerned. I actually have a really horrid temper and I can be highly unreasonable ^^;
A few of my online friends have said how 'nice' I am, but I think the fact is that they perceive me that way simply because they haven't had the chance to see the other side of me.
It's flattering, anyhow! Thanks :) *Hugs*

Date: 2007-08-17 09:34 am (UTC)I'm a StarFox fan, again something from a while back that I really don't follow anymore.
I'm a Doctor Who fan, and tend to be very excited about new episodes whenever they come out.
I'm an old-school Star Trek fan (of the Classic Original Series), although I also like Voyager.
I'm a fan of Digimon, as you know, but only Season 2 (because of Ken and Davis, of course).
I'm a Mario fan, as I was raised on Nintendo and will always have a soft spot for good ol' Mazza. I'm currently playing New Super Mario Bros. on my DS ^^ I have a particular love for Yoshi's Island on SNES.
I'm a big fan of the book "At Swim, Two Boys" by Jamie O'Nealle. There's not much of a fandom for it, as it's just one book, but there's a community on LJ ^^
Other fandoms I've briefly been part of include Gundam Wing, Teen Titans, BeyBlade (yes, I know... x.x).
That's about it, really. I don't tend to be deeply into more than one fandom at a time, and at the moment it's definitely Sonic :)

Date: 2007-08-18 02:09 pm (UTC)The cogwheels in my brain are turning...cobwebs and dust gets blown out of the ears...
Just a few more moments and I *may* just find the qeustion to ask you, but most obvious things are well...obvious. And those inner workings psychological related qeustions I may have just either not popped up right about now, or may just end up falling in the category of "I don't want to know" or possibly "what I think to know" (and don't want to be proven wrong about as to keep myself protected of my ego, arrogance, all knowing ali salami oracle of all wisdom, and general supperiority above the entire human race feeling :p)*
(*If you can't tell, this is pure sillyness/joking around and really not meant at all serious)
In all seriousness, I don't really have a qeustion right now..
At least no qeustions that may have brought about from anything seen/read on lj, and possible unknown things simply cannot be asked about if they are unknown as a whole (if that makes any sense at all).
So instead I ask..
If you had to describe yourself, how would that be?
Just character wise mostly, though habits etc. can all go in there as well..just be as elaborate or short as you want.
Naturally, it be more interesting if you make it long ;p
(i'll also be posting it in my journal and I accept any number of qeustions, so you can be as evil back towards me as revenge as you want)

Date: 2007-08-18 02:39 pm (UTC)Okay, well, I guess I'll start by saying that I'm a fairly open person. That is, I tend to trust most people at least to a certain extent unless they give me reason not to, and I'm happy to answer most questions about myself. I noticed when others posted this meme, most of them included a disclaimer saying there'd be some questions which they'd refuse to answer. I don't do that... I'm happy to answer pretty much any question thrown at me, no matter how personal. There's only a very few things that I don't talk much about openly, and only in that case do I need to know people for a while before I trust them enough to be that much open. I'm not really a secretive person, but I do have a few deep secrets and things about myself that I don't readily share. But for the most part, I like to think that I'm an open person who's trusting but not completely naive.
People tend to come to the conclusion that I'm a 'nice' person, and while I hope that's at least true to an extent, I know that there's a side to me that's quite tempremental, moody and unreasonable. When I'm in a good mood, I can be very charitable and friendly and down-to-earth and reasonable. When I'm in a grouchy mood, I can be highly aggressive, snarky, reactive and entirely irrational. In that state, I can actually be quite verbally cruel and get angry over the smallest of things. I know this is a genuine fault within me, though, so I try my best to curb it.
I have quite an 'obsessive' personality. I tend to be very black-and-white and all-or-nothing about things. I'll spend literally 16 hours on the computer in a go on most days, and I'll spend hundreds of pounds on items to complete my current collection. I feel things strongly and deeply and never in half-measures.
I'd say I'm quite the cynic, but at the same time I'm very much a daydreamer. I'm not necessarily a 'happy' person by nature, but I'm not depressive either. I tend to go through lows, but I don't allow myself to get dragged down permenantly. I often wish I knew how to be more of an optimistic and upbeat person, but I have friends who fulfil that quota in my life, and as long as I don't bring them down, I think we balance each other out.
Things that make me feel good are Jei (of course), my friends, being part of an online community, losing myself to music (Eurodance particularly), Role-Playing, and debating.
I have a strong sense of justice and I WILL step in if I feel like I can make a difference. However, when it comes to less vital things, I'm a huuuge procrastinator and take forever to get myself into gear, resulting in usually doing everything at the last possible moment. I'm also somewhat lazy, and I fully admit that I need to get out more.
I've found that people who know me either quite like me or dislike me a lot, and I'm sure that I rub a lot of people up the wrong way just by being me. But I also seem to have plenty of friends online, even if I don't socialize much offline. So I think I have it pretty good.
I hope that's enough of an answer, but feel free to poke some more if you want! :)
