Nnnguh? x.o Migraines suck. Why am I getting so many, lately? Woke up this morning unable to see properly again. Thought 'here we go again' and wasted yet another day in bed trying to sleep it off. On top of that, the internet went down last night at about 11pm and didn't come back until about 7pm tonight. Also, my mom is off to London tomorrow and she'll be gone 'til the next day. It'll be my first night in this house alone n.n; Not that I'm... scared... or anything. Short update. Blah.

Aww... Jai... *hugs* You'll be fine!

And gah, migraines are evil and should be shot. Problem is, they're in our heads, so if we try and shoot them we end up shooting ourselves. x_X;;

Get well soon Jai.

Thanks ^^ And yeah, that's true... although probably a shot to the head would be less painful than the migraine headache x.o

Eeep, migraines. I sometimes get headaches where I see in 2.5D. o_o; That is, I can still judge distance, but people and objects seriously look like 2D cutouts to me. So weird.

Hope you feel better soon!

I hope it'll pass soon. Could it be the heat? :/

It's not been hot here... but maybe it's the constant overcast weather x.o

Aww, I can sympathize. I used to get em a lot back when I got panic attacks. My vision would get blurry and my head felt like a bunch of Keebler Elves had opened an industrialized, cookie factory in my brain T_T

Panic attacks? Eeesh. I used to get those too. It got so bad that some years ago I was actually housebound for 4 years ^^; Yeah. But I'm better now.

This may sound odd, but did you suffer from something called "derealization" by any chance? After several bad panic attacks last year, I started to.

Just curious.

If by that you mean the condition of losing a sense of 'reality' during or after an attack, then yeah. I would often space out completely, where everything would seem detached and everything seemed echoey and distant and in slow motion. Sometimes I'd feel like I couldn't even move or speak for up to ten minutes, then I'd suddenly snap out of it and burst into tears. Stuff like that, yeah, I'm familiar with it ^^;

Yep, that's what I'm referring to. I've had it for a little over a year now, and it's really awful.

Sorry to hear you've had to experience it. It's weird how common it seems to be.

*Nods* Sorry to hear you've been through it too. It's not pleasant, but I guess there's some comfort to be had in knowing it does happen to quite a few people and it's not a 'serious' condition, even though it can be pretty scary when it's happening.

Do you still experience panic attacks and derealisation? I haven't had a major panic attack in a while, although that's partly due to understanding it better now and taking preventionary measures if I feel one coming on.

I am still experiencing derealization and have been for about a year now. It's slowly going away, and I think it will be gone soon, but I really wish it would hurry.

I still see static and still feel like distant and dreamy. I'll sometimes lose myself in my thoughts and briefly forget where I am. It's very unsettling.

At least it's going away, though.

::hugs Jai-ji's poor head:: no more migraines!!! And I'll do my best to keep you company... and of course you're not scared to be in your house alone at night. n.n Just like I'm not nervous simply because my parents are gone. But if you were to be nervous... you could do something I might do if I were nervous, and turn on one of the lights in my parents' room and leave it on for the night. n.n; IF I were scared. Which would be silly because I'm not even alone in my house. n.n Anyway, seriously, you'll be fine, shmoo!

Aww... ::Hugs tightly:: n.n You're so sweet. Yeah, I'll probably leave some lights on at night n.n; I know it's not energy efficient, but it's just for one night!

Drink a lot of caffinated beverages?

Try going easy on those and switch to water for a while. My mom gets migraines when she drinks a lot of coke.
They ease up when she drops that and drinks water.

I don't drink soda at all, actually. Or coffee. Or anything with much caffeine. Only water and occasionally tea. I do drink more water when I'm headachy though, because it sometimes seems to tie in with dehydration ^^;
