~That's what I said now~
Jul. 4th, 2007 11:26 amHappy 4th of July to all my American friends! (I'll try not to feel TOO aggrieved that you escaped the British Empire XD)
And in other news... o.o I got a call-back to a second interview for PC World, this Friday o.o I was 100% convinced that I'd totally flunked that first one, so... woo! I must've made up for falling outside the brackets on the test by smooth-talking my way through the verbal questions :D *Ego* This fox isn't such a lost cause after all :P
Shh, it's a secret! Jei has some July 4th fireworks that she smuggled in from NY! Don't tell anyone!!

Date: 2007-07-04 03:22 pm (UTC)In fact, this is a holiday where we celebrate being "American" by eating hot dogs (which originate in Germany), macaroni and cheese (pasta comes from Italy), and a'splode lots of fireworks (originating from China).
...Yeah. Some "all-American" holiday. xD <3 *squishes*
And hey! Call backs are good! Wishin' you the best of luck on that~!

Date: 2007-07-04 06:38 pm (UTC)Well, Dad just poked me and informed me that we are having relatively traditional "American" meal; grilled cow and Cali wine.
Oh, family. :P

Date: 2007-07-04 07:36 pm (UTC)So yeah, we may have a very hard to pin down culture, but I think our mixture of cultures _is_ our culture, which is just fine.

Date: 2007-07-04 08:15 pm (UTC)I'm now trying to convince the parents to order Chinese and get a curry dish going, so that we can have a little more melting-pot-ish dinner. Instead of just grilled cow. XD
...though who knows. May be doing that if not just for the fact that I like food. >.>;
