I'm 22, approaching 23.

The legal drinking age in the UK is 18.

I'm 5 years over that limit.

I went to The Catherine's Inn and ordered a half-pint of Guinness Extra Cold... and they CARDED me.

The girl behind the bar didn't believe I'm old enough to drink.

Do I HONESTLY look like I'm 17? O.o

...

I was so looking forward to a nice cold one, too ;_;

(Also, my mom was laughing at me the whole way home ._.;;)

Hm.. I'm not sure, you might look like that ^_^

I think I look younger than I am as well.. Anyway, some inns are just evil.. I remember that when I was 18 (the legal age for buying alcohol in Latvia is 18 too), me and my friends who were 18 too, went to one inn but were "carded", as you put it.. They said - "we won't sell you alcohol if there's no person of age 21 or more with you".. o_o

WTF.. Never went there again XD

Yeah, it was a bit of a 'WTF' moment for me, too ^^; I don't think I've ever been carded before. Then again, I don't drink in pubs or bars or buy alcohol very often... but the few times I have, I've not had a problem.

I get carded all the time. If my mate orders a drink for himself or me he hardly ever gets carded though. hehe

Haha, I'm 24, and still occasionally get carded when I want to buy tickets for R-rated movies. (Legal age: 17)

Yeah, it was a little unfortunate, since my mom and I had walked all the way there in the heat, and I was really looking forward to my Guinness ^^;

Hi there, Galener! Heh, I don't think anyone ever carded me when I was 18... but maybe I never did anything that required age ID back then ^^;

Hi Flyboy, Well for Llama's 18th birthday she went to the Star Hotel with some of her friends from work because she was old enough to go out and drink.

She is almost 20 now and still no one has asked to see if she is over 18

When I was 10 and she was 15 or something alone those lines people thought she was my mum :P

If the last pictures I saw of you and yer Kojiro-like bangage were recent, trust me, you look more like SIXTEEN rather than seventeen, hun. -snickers-

Well, it's a good thing when you get older! You'll stay cute and young-looking! Kinda.
