Pokémon Diamond update:
So, I just beat the Elite Four and the Champion. I didn't have any trouble at all throughout the entire game (i.e., didn't lose a single trainer battle, gym battle, or E4 battle) right up until Cynthia (the Champion), and even then, my only problem was lack of PP for my water-based move, and I was out of ethers/elixirs, but I fixed that by teaching my main Poké a new move and got her on my third try. Basically, the game really isn't very challenging if I can beat the main story with one Lvl 60 Poké and one Lvl 47 Poké (and a handful of Lvl 26 - 30 HM slaves). It was fun though ^^ And I still have my Masterball. Gonna hafta find something really good to use that on (in Emerald, I used it on a Ditto. I was THAT desperate). Also, I need to start trading and stuff to bump up my PokéDex. Fun fun...
So, other news:
My brother was supposed to be coming here over the weekend, but he hasn't fixed his car up get. Doh! So, I really don't know when he's coming. Could be any time, but he wants me to sell his junk-pile of a car on eBay for him first. Which I will attempt to do as soon as he gets the photos and details to me. I'd tell him to do it himself, but he's entirely computer-illiterate ^^; And a complete technophobe. Which is bizarre for a 19-year-old London kid, but eh. I can't imagine him getting an eBay page up by himself.
My mom's seeing that lawyer tomorrow. I had some rants on the whole legal situation, but I'll just copy and paste from an IM, because I can't be bothered to type from scratch:
Flyboy Tails (06:06:52 PM): well, it looks like he might be also suing for the right to live with us :\ and he's totally played us...
Sonic Bluestreak (06:07:16 PM): how so? ;_;
Flyboy Tails (06:09:49 PM): well, he may be able to claim that he's lived with us most of his life and that we've made him homeless and destitute without financial compensation for that house sale. So, if my mom can't afford to pay him the £36,000 he's asking for, she'd have to let him live with us. The kicker is that he HASN'T lived more than 50% with us. But last year he got my mom to sign papers saying he's lived here more than he has, so he could get resident alien status. So my mom signed those papers to help him, and now he's gonna use them against her as proof that he's lived here more than he actually has ._.
and:
Flyboy Tails (10:11:58 PM): My mom spoke with my brother... it seems like my dad is willing to do anything to get himself to look like the victim x.o;;
Sonic Bluestreak (10:12:32 PM): ugh... :\ how so...?
Flyboy Tails (10:13:23 PM): it seems like he's trying to provoke my brother into assaulting him @_@ every time they have a verbal fight, he starts taunting my brother, saying "come on, hit me! I know you want to, come on and hit me!" etc x.o
Sonic Bluestreak (10:14:31 PM): oh god... that's just SAD.
Flyboy Tails (10:15:19 PM): it's worrisome though... if my brother retaliates and so much as knocks my dad off balance, there'd be BIG trouble x.o he's in his late 70s after all...
Fff... I've seen my dad do that on occasion before, but it seems now he's doing it every time. I really hope my brother will come to live with us soon. I may not always get on with him (we clash terribly, actually), but I do NOT want to see him go to jail for hitting my dad (who thoroughly deserves it, let it be said).
So, what else...?
Hmm. I wonder if anyone else in the UK has been watching 'Any Dream Will Do'. I don't usually watch 'talent shows', but Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was the first musical I ever saw, and when I was seven or eight years old, I memorised the entire thing so that I could perform it single-handedly for my grandparents. Although Cats, The Lion King on Broadway, and especially Starlight Express have better music, I still have a soft spot for Joseph. Also, the contestants (for the role of Joseph) performed "I Am The Starlight" from StEx AND Queen's "Under Pressure" this week, which is KICK-ASS. Next week is the finalé. I hope Lee wins, even if he's getting some backlash for his previous 'professional' work as an understudy. Keith is too young-and-cute-looking and Lewis... eh... I don't think he's as talented as the other two (Ben was better ;_;), but he's come this far because he LOOKS right for the part. At least, that seems to be what's possessing the legions of screaming fangirls to keep voting for him. Lee for Joseph! ... and that's the most you'll EVER hear me talk about a televised talent contest :P
Man, I've gotta find out when Starlight Express' tour is hitting Bristol. I NEED to see that show again. So inspiring... and it's about trains! :D
(Only you) I am the Starlight
(Have the power within you) I can achieve
(Just believe in yourself, the sea will part before you) Anything
(Stop the rain, turn the tide) All the things I didn't believe
(If only you) I am the Starlight
(Use the power within you) I can see it through
Needn't beg the world to turn around and help you
If you draw on what is deep inside

Still, I guess the only thing I can do is wish you and your mother luck... and pray that things are gonna go okay.
