I was planning to get hold of Linkin Park's new album "Minutes to Midnight", but the majority of reviews so far seem to indicate that the album is somewhat sub-par and strays too much from the formula their fans have enjoyed. "What I've Done", which is the only track I've heard so far, isn't bad. Not their greatest, but certainly listenable enough. However, apparently it's the best song on the album and the rest has been descrobed, more than once, as 'a mess'. Has anyone heard the rest of the album and could suggest to me whether it's worth getting a hold of? I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteora, and I'd like to give Minutes to Midnight a chance... but... if it's crap, I'd rather not waste money on it :P

Also, I hadn't been on Neopets in quite a while. I checked back the other day, and the ENTIRE SITE LAYOUT has been changed O_o; HALP! I can't find my way around anymore! ;_; I don't like it! Oh well, that's what I get for being so out of the loop ^^; (Also, I FINALLY noticed [livejournal.com profile] insanepurin's friends request on there; I have no idea how long it's been there. Sorry Puri! I accepted, anyhow ^^ Yay and stuff).

In the news:

Tony Blair has finally given a date for his resignation as Britain's Prime Minister :P June 27th. About bloody time. He gave a nice little speech ending with:

"The British are special - the world knows it, in our innermost thoughts we know it. This is the greatest nation on earth."

Lib Dem leader Sir Campbell was not impressed and neither am I. Then again, I've never cared for speeches that conclude with 'we are better than everyone else, so hah!'. And come on, let's face it. The only thing the world knows about us is that we're a bunch of chavs, lager louts and football hooligans. And maybe that we drink tea. And that we have a Queen. But mostly that we're a nation of chavs, yeah.

Speaking of the Queen, though, George Dubya's '1776' gaffe was epic XD I'll say one thing for the man - he never fails to amuse.

Well, that's it from me for now! Time to go play Bust-A-Move. Again. Not that I'm addicted or anything.

(... "Animals" by Nickelback ALWAYS makes me think of Sonic, despite the lyrics. It has ATTITUDE. And guitar. I love this track ;_;)

Linkin Park - Bleed It Out.

A lot of people said that this is the best song on "Minutes To Midnight"; anther LJ friend of mine linked this song in her journal and it sounds ok. It's not that bad.

Hasn't Tony Blair been Prime Minister for ages?

Good God... that's a long time. o.O I knew that it's been a while, but wow.

XD the 1776 thing... I saw that... it was great! XD; He can be pretty funny sometimes... gah, the Queen must have thought he was such a doofus. And also speaking of the Queen, I also saw her at the Kentucky Derby. She was wearing a fine hat.

And yay! good riddance to Blair! I'm tired of that ass kisser hijacking my name. >.>

Aww ;_; and I'm sorry Linkin Park isn't up to snuff this time around. Where will Tails get his angst anthems now??? XDD;;

I dunno, he'll just have to re-listen to the ones he already has ;_; ::Mope::

But yeah, good riddence to Tony Blair XD I wonder what his best friend Dubya thought about the whole "Britain is the greatest nation on earth!" thing.

Oh yes, the Queen and her many hats XD; She seems to have a new one every 5 minutes o.o What's up with that?

If I were Queen, I would have the coolest, most exrtravigant hats EVER. XD; I like hats, and nothing says "figurehead!!" like peacock featers, flowers and ribbons!

n.n; Yeeeeah, I do wonder what Dubya though! Uh-oooo~oooh, sounds like somebody's getting a spanking toniiiight! ...XD; I'm sorry. That's... too wrong.

o.o I love lager and tea. But I'm just an American. XD Of Irish descent.

(I know what you mean about character/song associations. "A Maiden's Policy" from Sailor Moon reminds me of Bunnie. O.o ...want MP3?)

I perchaced Linkin Parks latest album. In my oppinion, It's good but it just doesn't live up to the standard that the band has set for themselves.
