NiGHTS is there too. And Ulala, although she's not got art on the site yet :P But look! Sonic and Tails! XD;;; ... is it wrong of me to be more excited/hyped for this golf sim than I am for either Sonic Rush Adventure OR Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games? ^^;

It's like this. Sonic. And. Tails.

When I first read about Sonic Rush Adventure, I was incredibly chuffed to see Sonic and Tails as the only mentioned characters. A tiny part of me dared hope for a Sonic 2-esque game, the dynamic duo, a villain (Eggman-related, naturally) and as few other characters as possible. Since then, Blaze has shown up, and I can't really fault her for that. It IS a Rush title after all. It was to be expected. What irks me more is that Blaze seems to have dragged ANOTHER new character along with her. I'm sure we've all seen little-miss-raccoon-girl by now :P I don't like her. She looks like Cream and already people are pairing her with Tails even before we know anything about her. Okay, so maybe it's unfair of me to say I don't like her when all I've seen is a pic. But it irks me that she's on the banner, along with Sonic and Blaze, and Tails isn't. Whhhyyyy? ;_; If she's Blaze's 'sidekick character', then surely both she and Tails should have an equal place :P ... maybe I'm reading too much into it, but hell, I just really wanted to see Sonic and Tails as a strong team again. Perhaps they still will be, but eh... enough with the new characters already ._.;; Focus on the ones you already have! Jeez. [/whiny emo-fox]

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games still looks fun ^^ There's just not enough info on it so far for me to get hyped over. Sonic and Tails are both confirmed characters (duh), and a couple of events have been confirmed, but we're seriously lacking screen-shots/trailers/gameplay vids/info etc. I might hype this game a bit more once more is known about it :)

I'm liking SEGA Splash Golf because Sonic and Tails are both featured, and for once it doesn't look like any of the other/newer Sonic cast are around. Just those two! Of course, it's still possible that others may sneak in somehow >.> But I like that the two videos I've seen so far, plus the screenshots and art on the official site, only seem to feature those two (and characters from other SEGA games). Kinda sad that the mainstream games are so lacking in Sonic-and-Tails-ness that I have to get my old-school fix from a golf simulator ;_; But hey. It actually looks fun! I'm really liking the GHZ-themed course, and Sonic is just totally awesome/hilarious/adorable as a caddy. I also like that the intro features Sonic zooming along and Tails flying behind him... such a nostalgic image, it made me smile. SEGA Splash Golf, I salute you!

The wireless network card in the back of my computer has NEVER worked in the entire year-or-so that I've had this machine (I believe I got it last March?). So, I've been using a Netgear external hub to connect to the router, which has worked fine pretty much. So why the heck does the built-in wireless card suddenly decide to start working yesterday? My Netgear uninstalled itself and the built-in card kicked in, and then I reinstalled the Netgear because I didn't think the internal Libertas card would be able to connect to the network despite suddenly showing it was operational... but it did O.o And now I'm connected to the wireless network by TWO wireless connections o.o Huh!



Crazy! But pretty much typical of my Super-Obfuscating-Naturally-Incorrigible-Computer. (Actually, the original acronym expansion was a lot more flattering. Times change! >.>).

Okay, I'm done being pointless and annoying XD; Sorry for so many fandom-posts lately. Blame SEGA! :O

I mean, that's like one of the slowest games in the WORLD. And you need lots of patience...

Well, technically they're not playing golf, they're just caddying XD But like I said in a previous post, there's no way Sonic would have the patience for it ^^;; However, it's hilarious watching the trailer and seeing him chasing after the ball like a hyperactive puppy. Strange how a GOLF game could make me fall in love with Sonic all over again ^^;

It's always the simplest things. :3 I think that's something that a lot of the fandom needs to learn... I remember this one time, I was just... lot much of a Sonic fan anymore... And then I saw these really cute pics of Sonic and Tails playing on the beach.

Like, volleyball, Tails swimming and Sonic sitting in an inner tube... And then one of Sonic chilling on lawnchair. *_* After that, I got right back into the fandom again.

You'll get no arguments here, my friend. All these new characters are getting seriously out of hand. Maybe I'm just a little ol' curmudgeon, but why can't we have a nice, sidescrolling platformer? KLONOA still does its 2.5D sidescrolling when someone deigns to put it on something not handheld.

I have to go play Sonic3&Knuckles again. WITH THE SONIC/TAILS TEAM SETTING DAMN YOU ALL.

Even though Knuckles is my favorite game character. And I'm using pouty-Knuckles fairly often lately. T_T

Hah, Knux is awesome :) I have no complaints with him showing up more in games. Triple Threat forever! And he's seriously getting cast aside these days. Especially since Shadow took his place as serious rival. He's kinda just hot-headed gullible comic-relief now, which is sad... I love Knux. He needs more attention! Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik. Possibly Amy, at a stretch. That's my core cast :P

To be fair, I like Shadow. Actually, I liked SA1, with Knuckles kind of having his own agenda and only getting involved incidentally.

I dunno. It COULD be well done with a larger cast, as SatAM shows us. Sega just seems to have sort of lost that ability. Well, that's what fics and RP are for, though I do wish Sega would take a hint.

Oh, I'm not bashing Shadow ^^; (Although I admit to not liking him). I just feel that he kinda usurped Knuckles' place as the 'serious rival'. I loved Knuckles' treasure-hunting levels actually XD Despite a lot of people complaining about them. I'd just like to see Knuckles get a bit more respect now, because he's been kind of pushed aside lately, plot-wise.

I loved the Sonic Adventure games, because you see the plot from several viewpoints--and the other characters get to split off from Sonic a bit and be the hero in their own little arenas. (Especially Tails in SA1!) But yeah, there could be more Sonic/Knuckles head-to-head.

Actually, I had an idea for the 'new' characters that would work better. When Sonic first finds Cream, it's all 'oh Sonic rescued a cute little girl, and now she'll have her own adventure!' Picture, if you will, Shadow finding Cream first. Perhaps he runs across her in the fortress, and this doe-eyed waif reminds him too much of Maria to be left where she is. Cream then feels close to Shadow, and as a sweet, devoted sort then begins playing Tails to his Sonic. Or, perhaps Rouge finds her first and takes advantage of her innocence to shape her into a partner in crime. ("It's important to know where the nice policemen are. Why don't you be a good girl and tell Rouge where they are and when they move, so I can find them if I need them?")

But, Sega doesn't seem to have the guts or imagination to play like that.

I've actually toyed with something like that in my head multiple times before. I always wondered what it would be like if they partnered up for a while like Sonic & Tails and later be really close friends, you know? I personally find the dynamics really adorable.

Mawww, I have to agree, the influx of new characters is getting incredibly ridiculous. At this rate, they're going to challenge the number of 'new characters' (and by that I refer to their 'original' characters) that Archie has!

I mean, sure, I have nothing against new characters, but... at least develop them before another not-so-developed one enters the scene again! It's just... what? Come on!
