~Push pineapple, grind coffee~
Feb. 23rd, 2007 05:44 pmEdit: Wah! XD I started writing this yesterday, but again, I didn't have time to finish x.o Anyway, what I'd written so far:
(Feb 22nd)
Whew, I thought I'd have a moment to update properly today, but no such luck! 9pm, and I finally get the chance to get online... I don't think I've EVER been so internet-deprived!
Aaanyway, yes! Life is insane right now! Remind me never to move house EVER again.
London was Hell. Yep, with a capital 'H'. Words can't express how much of a pathetic selfish self-centered self-absorbed uncaring asshat my dad is, so I won't bother even trying. I'll just say that three days with him was three days too many >.> I got my revenge though. By the time it came to clearing out his room, and he'd gone off somewhere to conveniently avoid having to actually... you know... PACK his stuff (and we were left to do it while the new owners were insisting on moving their stuff IN at the same time... INSANITY!!), I just didn't give a damn anymore. In fact, by that point I had become incapable of giving anything even slightly resembling a damn. Luckily, my mom felt the same way, and between us we tipped about 75% of his endless boxes of newspapers and magazines and papers into the garbage skip. Ha. HA. HAHAHA.
Oh! One of the highlights of yesterday was my dad accidentally dropping ONE OF HIS FRICKIN' WEIGHT-LIFTING WEIGHTS over the stair banister as I was walking up, missing me by MERE INCHES. His reponse? "Oh." ... seriously shook me up. If that had hit me on the head, it would have fractured my skull, no question. Ugh. Moron ._.;;

Feb 23rd (continuing now)
We were basically non-stop from the moment we arrived on Sunday afternoon. There was so much packing to do! They'd barely started ^^; And my dad decided to disappear off to London, whilst my brother just slept and watched soccer on TV x.o So it was pretty much up to just me and my mom to pack up the WHOLE house. In my room alone I packed seven boxes - and I haven't even been living there for the past 6 months! I do seem to have acquired a lot of stuff over the years (I found all my Team Rocket doujinshi!! I have about eight of them o.o).
Ooo yeah, and then there were the wardrobes. Three wardrobes in my mom's room, all taller than me and pretty darn heavy. Guess who gets to dismantle them, all alone? :P That's right. The big, strong-- no wait. The weedy little computer nerd. AKA me :D Suuuure. No prob. I actually managed it okay. Despite my less-than-athletic-ness, I'm actually pretty strong(?). I pride myself in being able to heft all the heavy stuff down the stairs by myself. Anyway, I managed the job fine aside from a slight miscalculation where one of the wardrobes almost collapsed on top of me. I would up pretty much skinning the back of my thumb... but that (and a few splinters and bruises) is the worst of it. Wow, I'm so macho XD *poses*
We had to go to the tip a few times to off-load stuff. Plus a WHOLE load of visits to the Your Move agents about the apartment... I swear, they wanted our bloooood x.o I had to make a ton of rather awkward phone-calls, too. I'm not so keen on calling places, but apparently I'm good at it, so yeah, I was pretty much the secretary as well as the general dogsbody :P I've never been so continuously busy in my entire life, I swear! ... yes, I'm usually quite sedentary :P
When we finally got away, we then had the 4 hour drive back, with Fox (my kitty! ^^) in his cat-box on the back seat. 20 minutes into the journey, he... pooped in his box. So we had to spend the rest of the 4 hours with the smell and his constant mewing ^^; But I feel bad for him... Foxie doesn't even like 10-minute car journeys, so four hours in the car (especially after he messed the box) must've been yucky for him ;_; Anyway, we had to go an extra half-hour to get him to the cattery where he's gonna be staying until we move from this apartment into our new house (which is happening on March 3rd). Gonna visit him tomorrow though, to make sure he's doing okay ^^ The place seems nice, and hey, they were even kind enough to let us in at 9:30pm to drop him off.
So that's the gist of the past few days, although it doesn't really even begin to cover it. Since we've been back, we've still been dashing around like crazy to get stuff done, hence why I haven't even posted this until now :P I'm around in the evenings though, mostly. 'Though I'm pretty much ready for bed by about 7pm, which is very unusual for this nocturnal fox n.n;;
Well, I've gotta dash! Catch ya later!
