That 'gay agenda' analogy is good. Once you're familiar, on first name terms, with a less-mainstream idea or situation, it stops feeling strange and just blends in with everything else. I've stopped feeling like it's an odd new thing that I haven't yet figured out, and now it's just part of my life like any other everyday thing. Now the only thing left to fade is the novelty of how normal it feels now XD
I don't like how Facebook-esque LJ is becoming ;_; Blech.
