I have an appointment with the optician tomorrow. I'm long overdue, and kinda nervous :\ I know my vision has gotten worse because my current glasses now aren't sharpening my vision completely (still kinda blurry). I'm ridiculously short-sighted, and I'm afraid it will only continue to get worse, which scares me. As it is, I know I really do need to be wearing spectacles all the time, even though I hate wearing 'em. Anything more than about 50cm from me is blurry, and I have eye-strain and headaches all the time. Recently I've started having other weird effects, too, kinda like migrainous symptoms except not culminating in an actual migraine. Blotches of colour, slight tunnel vision, sparkly lights, mild vertigo, dull headaches, lasting until I close my eyes for a bit. I imagine it's mostly, even completely, a result of eye-strain... but I'm gonna talk to the optician about it.

In other news, the dolls' bodies arrived today, and they're awesome. They'll make for a much better Sally than we have now, and a good strong Alicia. I'm very happy with them. However, I also got a letter from Parcelforce saying we owe customs £15.60 for the parcel from Jei's family. It already cost them near $100 to mail it, and now we're paying to receive it D: But it should at least be delivered tomorrow... hopefully before I have to leave for the above appointment.

I've always had trouble with my eyes. I've been shortsighted since childhood, and sensory issues (Irlen sydrome, stimulae-triggered classical migraine, SID) just fuck it up more by making certain colours jump all around and certain patterns move in weird ways, and of course my amusing issue of having to wear prescription-tinted dark glasses outside even in overcast winter weather because I can't see a THING in daylight because of the glare. The thought that it might be getting worse scares me... but stupidly, the thought that being on the computer too much is aggravating the problem and I might have to give up being on it so much scares me more. Computer addict I am not, pff.

Sympathy hugs for the fellow myopic person? Although I don't have it anywhere NEARLY as bad as you do, yikes.

Zeiss makes absolutely wonderful lenses. Make everything so crisp and clear! I know they make lenses that go dark in sunlight, so maybe there's a permanently dark tinted sort you can get?

Aha, yes, well, I doubt they'll make you give up the computer entirely! Maybe you'll just have to adjust your browser a bit and spend a little less time on the computer!

My poor sight has been a minor aggravation for me for so long that I normally don't even think to complain about it. But it's definitely getting worse, along with these odd side-effects that make me have to lay down for an hour or so once or twice a day. So I think it's time for me to do something about it and get my vision checked out again.

Getting off the computer for a bit would probably be a really healthy thing for me anyway XD There's a whole world out there (so I've heard)!

And the sky is always so pretty~ and the clouds tumble through the sky so slowly... but, when the sun's really, really bright, I can't really look up. ^^;;

I got hold of a couple of books about birds and flowers last year, fully intent on doing lots of hiking and trying to identify the wildlife as we went. Kinda... never really got around to it, despite buying a good pair of binoculars for it, too ^^; Maybe this year, when spring rolls around, I'll go for it again with more vigour.

Yaaaay for the eye exam-- AT LONG LAST! I've been bugging you about it for years! XD I hope you can get contacts or some new glasses that stay on your face at least n.n no more headaches!

I can't wait for Sal to have her new body... the old one was such a pain in the ass. XD Gah... it's kinda surreal writing about our dolls after doing SO much research on the history and psychology of dolls over the past few days. I never thought I would know so much about dolls... ever. XD;

XD Hopefully the exam won't give me a headache so that I can't enjoy the panto later that night... but yeah, it's about time, really n.n; I'm hoping they can at least fix my current glasses' frames so that I can wear those until I can find affordable new ones or contacts.
