Clothes-shopping can definitely be a pain XD Unisex/boy clothes are usually the only thing I go for, too, but that's mostly because girly/feminine clothes aren't my thing at all, especially when fiddly things like laces and frills are involved @_@ I agree also that there's not enough variation on body-shape. Clothes seem to be made for very set shapes, with not much for anyone who doesn't fall neatly into any of those categories.
It's not really doing it for him, since the website itself isn't his project. It's an ad campaign, and he's shooting a film and wants to present it on a webpage as one small part of the overall marketing strategy. He's allowed and even encouraged to liaise with other people to get it done, since he needs to learn how to network and work with other people in his field (he's studying advertising and brand management). If it was just the webpage, I'd agree with you completely, but it's not... it's a whole awareness campaign with the 'site as one small part of it ^^
