Nng. I think my migraines are definitely stress-related. Night before last, one attacked me in the early hours. Bloody pain they are, and literally :P But I definitely think the worst part is trying to get to sleep with a zigzaggy flashing line permenantly in my vision, even (or perhaps worse so) when I close my eyes. It's like my vision is broken... some one snapped a wire and it's all fizzy hiccups and fadeaway blotches. I think that part's the worse of all, even moreso than the sickening headache to follow. Well, that and the part where my left hand goes completely and utterly numb but rife with pins and needles, and no matter of banging or clattering my hand against the side of the bed will wake it. But I've rattled on about all of that in previous migraine-cursing posts before, so I'll hush now XD I just get annoyed at them, but I should be thankful that the worst of mine is over in five or six hours, and then a day or so to be totally over it... my mom, as I've said before I'm sure, gets them for days at a time ;_; (although hers are without all the visual and sensory whackory of mine - I can't even form a sentence coherently when I'm struck XD letters all the wrong way and such).

I've adopted a perculiar mode with language today o.o I'll try to shake out of it O.o Aaanyway... the heat's rolling in again :\ 30s this weekend... I think that's mid 80's in imperial units. Might not seem to bad, but to those of us with no air conditioning in our cars or houses, it's heck :P Got a long car journey on Sunday, too... in the heat and humidity for a good three to four hours, there and back. Whoo, full of complaints I am (so sayeth Yoda) ^^ ... I just don't like the heat ::crawls under a cool rock and hibernates::

Oh! And I started reading At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie O'Neill yesterday, and finished it off this afternoon. Jei suggested it to me, since she just finished reading it. It's... well... heartbreaking is putting it lightly. It's a bit of a slog to get through (no short read at 562 pages and a fairly large page at that), but worth it, if just mainly for the interaction between the two boys mentioned in the title. It's set in the years around 1916 in Ireland, so of course it's something of a political and historical novel too (although it's modern-written, published in 2003 I believe). But what really gets me is the two main boy characters... Jei told me, but when I read it myself it was even clearer... clear as day ;_; Doyler and Jim are SO much like Sonic and Tails, it's unreal ^^; It makes it worse! But seriously... their characters, and the way they interact, is so much like Sonic and Tails. Even with the Irish dialects and totally different circumstance, they're two much alike those two boys, it gets me right here :\ Their relationship, their mannerisms... I can't even bear to go into it, but listening to this song doesn't help x.x

Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me

XD I'm being heckled. Have to post this now. Maybe I'll post more of my thoughts on At Swim, Two Boys tomorrow. Bye! :P

Migraines are evil ;_; if it helps, I know exactly how you feel lol and they most certainly are stress-related. For me, keeping myself busy helps... like even going for a walk or something like that. Hope you feel better *huggles*
