~I'm crazy like a fool~
Jun. 9th, 2006 10:40 amWell, this morning sure was interesting ^^;
Went to bed at 5am (gah, my hours are so whack, lately ^^;), was woken at 8:30am-ish by the sound of something crashing, followed by my brother screaming "WHAT IS IT WITH YOU FUCKING WOMEN?? YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN TO SHUT UP!!" at my mom n.n;; Niiiice. As you can guess, my brother and his (ex)girlfriend are still having many problems, and my brother decides to take it out on the household ^^; He was also up all night arguing with his ex very loudly on the 'phone, with no care for my mom having to get up to work in a few hours. He goes completely psychopathic whenever he has a break-up x.x
Aaanyway, after that, I decided to stay up because there wasn't much point in going back to bed other than messing up my hours even more ^^;; So, my mom went to go to work, but her car wouldn't start o.o Not a good morning for her ^^;; So... while she sorted out some other stuff, I called the AA Breakdown Service for her. They asked me all this stuff about the car... color, make, model, registration... somehow I remembered it all. Well, we HAVE had that car for 10 years :P I guess it would be worrisome if I couldn't remember what color it is *sweatdrop*
Sooo... 40-ish minutes later, AA guy shows up. Turns out the battery is dead. My theory is my brother camped out in the car for a long while last night and probably drained the battery somehow... maybe with the lights, radio, charging his phone, the fan... my mom reckons he might have been trying to jumpstart his own car's battery with hers n.n;; Hopefully not O.o He doesn't have his licence yet, and he's SO not insured. So anyway...
I called Halfords while my mom was signing the AA forms, and asked them if they could replace the battery for an R reg Honda Civic cc 1.5. He checked, and they had a compatible battery in stock, so the AA guy jumpstarted the battery and gave it enough juice so that my mom could drive up to Halfords. So, she left, and here I am now o.o
Right now I'm wide awake, despite only three hours' sleep, but I'll probably randomly die about halfway through the day n.n; But that's what tea is for. Tea tea tea. Fuel of Britain! (RAAR! XD)
Edit: Oh yeah, the crashing sound turned out to be the second handset for the downstairs 'phone. The whole thing was in pieces... but... I managed to put it back together and it seems fine! :D None of the internal components were damaged, I guess. They just came apart on impact.
I remember when I was younger, I used to love taking things apart and putting them back together, just 'cause :P I didn't really have much interest in how the things worked... I just liked the satisfaction of putting something back together and seeing it work again, like I'd built it myself XD Many tamagotchis and a few alarm clocks went through the works :P But yeah, I'm magic, because I can put seemingly broken/smashed things back together and they work! Whoo!
... okay, maybe there's such thing as too MUCH tea ^^;;
