Honestly, why is talking to my dad so infuriating? x.x He called yesterday and I tried to ask him about contacting "Mar-Ce" (Maria-Cecilia, my half-sister with American citizenship) in regards to her sponsoring me for a Green Card... gah, he couldn't change the topic fast enough x.x I kept trying to go back to it, but he kept skirting around the issue, then eventually he said he'll 'discuss' it with me next time he's in England x.o Whenever that will be. Y'know, I bet he doesn't even know her address or phone number, and that's why he won't talk about it. So I tried to get my dad's email address off my brother so I can pester him by email... but the address my brother has seems to be dead x.o

Okay... so... does anyone know of a way I can track a person down if I only know their name and the American state they live in? :\ 'Cause if my dad's not gonna be helpful, I'll have to do it myself. Mar-Ce owes my family a favor anyway, since we looked after her kids (my niece and nephew) for a few weeks when they came to England a few years ago :P ... wow, I feel so mercenary ^^;

[random]I can't stand sugar in tea or coffee. Bleh! I like my tea strong and my coffee black. I don't drink soda, so I get most of my caffeine from drinking about 10 cups of tea per day :P I like my tea. [/random]

Ho-hum... I'm a little calmer about the whole Sonic thing now. I'm still annoyed, but I realized I can't win 'em all. I was lucky to have Sonic the way I wanted the fandom to be for so long, and there's so much to look back on... so even if things have changed and I'm not looking foward to the newer games, I don't have to stop being a Sonic fan or even be less of one ^^ I can live in retro mode and remain as obsessed as ever. Things change, that's what happens. The Pokémon fandom changed... it still is changing. And now the Sonic fandom too. There's a new wave of fresh fans, and that's fine. This is their fandom now. I'll just keep believing what I've always believed in. Fandom is important to me, but it comes from inside, not outside ^^

You know, I thought no one would reply to my silly rant yesterday XD I ended up with 66 comments in total (from about 13 individuals). Amazing ^^; It's always cool seeing different peoples' views... some who agree, some who disagree, and some who are just neutral until they know more. Fair enough ^^ Thanks all of you guys.

Hmm... one of these days I'll get around to doing a layout for my LJ O_o ::Ponder ponder::

I know a few people that are writing their thesis on immigration, so I'll see if they happen to know anything about it (though I'm sure their speciality is in helping the illegal immigrants from Mexico...don't get me started on that x.x)

I'll also try to look into a way to find someone through name alone, but I doubt that will be possible ^^;

Thank ya, Lunar! ^^ Anything you could possibly find about immigration would be fantastic... maybe you could find out what resources they're getting their information from? I'd be VERY grateful ^^

Eh, it's okay... I'll find a way to track down my half-sister, somehow. It's weird that I have a half-sister who's so much older than me that she has kids of her own who are almost my age ^^;;

I think Pokemondom has pretty much dumped me, save for the games. I'm completely lost and behind in the Animé and movies. XDDD;;; But hey, that doesn't mean I won't dump my love for "Pokémon" itself. ;DD

The new dub-VAs from PokémonUSA scare me ._. I seriously hope they won't keep them. I actually prefer the 4Kids dub ^^; The new voices sound like a bad fan-dub or a Flash parody...
