What in the world is Dimestore Rings?

Dimestore Rings is a fresh, innovative LiveJournal community for Sonic the Hedgehog enthusiasts who enjoy delving a bit deeper into the franchise and fandom. In much the same way as elsewhere on LJ, this is indeed a place for devoted fans to convene, meet like-minded friends, and share everything from news items to merchandise reports to original art and fiction. However, we are unique among Sonic communities in that much of our content, particularly our handling of the current state of the franchise and fandom, takes place on notably personal and reflective levels. This is not to say that the community is a feeding ground for over-the-top rants and unnecessary snark, but rather an outlet for enjoyable interaction, thoughtful debate and critique, and creative expression - all in celebration of the world's most famous hedgehog and his ever-expanding canon of worlds. Just think of us as the accessible (Mobian) corner coffeeshop or lounge where, while names and faces may come and go, the common zest for life and hope for the future (as long as Robotnik's not involved) never fade. ;3
