I don't know why I got so weird about the whole "being associated with Tails" thing a few posts ago. Because it doesn't actually bother me. I'm happy with it. I guess I was just stuck in that esteem slump and thinking "Why the heck do my friends associate me with (canon) Tails? That makes no sense!". Because of course, if I'm anything like Tails, I'm my own far more flawed version of him :P Canon-Tails is too perfect. I know I'm not really a whole lot like him. Except for loving mint candy and being afraid of storms. And thinking that Sonic is the coolest guy in the universe ^^; Ha. I only wish I had canon-Tails' strength of character though. Being a super-genius would help too... but I think that in this life just being "not stupid" is good enough XD;
Don't mind me, I ramble when I'm tired. Actually, I ramble all the time, I just make less sense when I'm tired ^^;
Anyway... I survived my first day as a Technical Service Agent for Fujitsu Services at Temple Point! Do I get a prize? Or some cash? ... fooey. Well, it wasn't so bad. Basic induction stuff. Don't use the internet for porn. Don't facilitate fraud. Don't blow up the building or we'll all have to relocate to the 'emergency centre' in Kent (nooo!). Then we had to listen in to some calls being taken. It was a little bit scary, 'cause you know... none of it made any sense n.n;; But it was also kinda cool.
The upstairs floor is a huge open-plan service centre with large octagonal 'pods' that the computers are situated around. Everyone has their own desk area, all personalized. The walls are glass, all around, so there's plenty of daylight. Looking at it, I had a really strong feeling of wanting to work in a place like that. An atmosphere filled with computers and focussed technical hubbub, wearing a headset and switching calls whilst flipping through a dozen different applications... XD; I am SUCH a geek. Maybe not even a geek. Maybe I'm just a dork n.n;;
Anyhow, tomorrow we start software training. Sounds fun!
My only real complaint is the train. I don't like it, simple as :P It's crowded and noisy and I'm paranoid about getting off at the wrong stop (it's happened before >.>), especially in the dark, or of it being so crowded that I can't get off the train at all O.o (has also happened before) But it's a minor inconvenience and I'll get used to it ^^
I... don't have anything interesting to update about today n.n; Everyone has cool stuff to talk about, and I'm waxing lyrical about work. Whee.
Gosh I need sleep. Bedtime!!
